Another ee suprise suprise And he wasn’t drunk ■■?

Typical UK anti Euro driver crap. These guys travel across Europe and will have far more experience than many UK drivers who go no further than Travis Perkins at Dover :unamused:

Yeh, but maybe UK driver is now working for Waeberers, and coming in from Magyar to Dover! :stuck_out_tongue:

dieseldog999:
i wonder if they will name the truck after him once they repair it.

Classic.

dirty uneducated scum who have no respect for this country or it’s laws.

And this is hate speech at its finest.

Make sure next time you see an EE driver go and say that to his face, be a man once in your life. Then report back how your face got smashed up.

Ohhhh wait I forgot, the only place you have the balls to say something like that is on trucknet. Here you will find a bunch of like-minded baby-boomers that only remember how it was back in the old days and are incapable of accepting that things have changed. Brexit or not, the old days will never come back face it and move on.

Totally agree, hate speech at its finest.
Those who spout this kind of crap will have confined themselves to their own shores and have never interacted with anyone bar their own… :unamused:

and you can still be wrecked and drive within your limits.

Bang on there. You could start at 4am, finish at 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday then you could be doing 4pm start 4am finish Thur, Friday. What do you think the chances of you being wide awake on the run back to the yard at 2am are likely to be? Same when you’re out tramping all week then you get told your start time on Monday morning is 1am. Are you really going to be awake enough during that entire shift? Chances are you’ll be starting at 1am having had no sleep and then banging a 15hr in.

Many of us, if not the majority probably are driving when we’re tired but the problem is we’ve done it so long we don’t recognise it anymore as how you feel is just the way you’ve felt for years so its normal.

Stupidity knows no borders! You are equally at risk of encountering a stupid British driver as you are of encountering a stupid Romanian one.

The real problem we face is the ridiculously long hours we can legally operate for. There are few industries where it’s workers will routinely exceed a 12 hour shift day in day out and accept that as the norm. Granted very few HGV jobs are physically demanding nowadays, but if you are driving properly it is an intensely mentally demanding job and in that case doing 3 x 15 hour shifts on the bounce must surely have a debilitating effect on you mentally?

Of course research will back that up but with the demands of modern society I imagine that a certain level of “collateral damage” is deemed acceptable! Bring in a law of maximum 12 hours on with a minimum of 12 hours off and a lot of these sort of problems will disappear overnight.

Devils Advocate here!
I guess that Turners of Soham have one of the largest fleets on UK roads, they don’t shout about it. Their driver of the year awards make interesting reading, they are not called Fred Bloggs or John Smith

That was part of my point on my answer to Beav.
All this negative publicity towards foreign drivers true or otherwise, is widespread, but you never hear any of the positive points that refute a lot of popular opinion because it does not make for ‘sensational news’ . :bulb:

And there we have Exhibit A of why lorry drivers are regarded as dim-witted, uneducated clowns.

Going by the spelling and grammar, I think it’s fair to say at the very least that you weren’t educated to GCSE level in English language?

True enough - but you’re not making a point about certain folk being “uneducated”…

That’s the thing when somebody picks someone up on their grammar and spelling etc.
Unless they do it word perfect they just make a ■■■ of themselves.

In thos case I agree that this Woodpecker guy does nothing to dispel the concencus about truckers being uneducated with neandrathal narrow minded points of view, …but I reckon the irony of that will be lost on him.
