Hi All,trucker ash informs me that they only had one f16 is he right? just to keep you wondering here " it " is in north cyprus, i took the pic two years ago,i have got a picture of E120SVG but i will have to ask ash if i can use it.Paul.
I hope he lets you put it up Paul, as i used to drive it after JDF got rid of it. Apparently the driver who had it at JDF bought it and went O/D with it, ( so i was told a few months later anyway) one of the things he did to it was to convert it to a tag axle.
After he packed up, a bloke who i had asked about a Europen driving job (in 1995) bought it cheap and rung me up and asked if i was still interested in a European job, i told him i was but wasnt going to drive an FL10 like the last bloke id seen about going Euro, he said no mate, ive just bought an F16, so i took the job andE120SVG was the truck i got complete with European maps (i remember a lot of them were Italy with a few Spanish ones) kettle and various bits and bobs. It’d be nice to see a pic of it again, especially in all its glory when it was tidy.

Truckerash must be wrong, they must of had 2 , as when i had E120SVG it was a tag axle. And it definatly was an F16.

Here`s a couple of my old ones
Those GE Armstrong piccys bring back some good memories…they would have been taken at the Witton Castle truck show…a guy called Les lived next door to my parents…he drove for Armstrongs in the 80’s,and he always brought the unit home with him…it was an F10…reg number C911 LNL…i went away with him a few times in the school holidays and strangely enough i was given the same unit to drive when i started there…happy days…
Fat Les (cb Handle Golfer) didn`t know how he managed to bend over to put the ball on the tee

Yeah he was into his golf…used to take his clubs with him…i remember when i went away with him one time and i ended up being his caddy…the last time i spoke to him in Bishop Auckland,he was driving a refuse truck on the agency ,but the was at least 2-3yrs ago…not too sure if he still drives for a living now…
Nice bloke though…he taught me how to rope and sheet…now sadly a dying art…
harveys volvo f16 wrecker in feb 1999…still shows up as taxed, maybe at egertons/albany now ?not sure.
I’ve got some barrio’s truck photo’s i wil post them soon i got two of f16s and some of the fh16s
I look forward to seeing those lug84, my mate drove one of the FH16s. If i remember rightly the FHs were never painted in Barrios green.
