I was listening to some of their best bits on YouTube last night. Pure class. Missing word, the rabbi Lionel Blair and fat harry white to name some. They wouldn’t get away with some of the content today though. Talk about close to the bone.
Although I wouldn’t say they were the best on their short spell on the breakfast show. Their afternoon show was the best. Replace by Colin and Edith. What a dull show that was. Just another example of the beeb getting it wrong along with letting moyles go.
if they binned off feltz and gave richard allinson that slot my day would be sorted i like dev on radio 1 he is a complete clown i didnt mind evens at breakfast when i had him on for about 2 week when moyles was off but for me breakfast shows need more than 1 presenter you need a few that gel and genuinly get on with each other so you can get the banter going and that is what the moyles show did very very well O SCREW IT BRING BACK JK AND JOEL

+2 Me to i never miss it. Bloody brilliant.
What’s happened to the pompous horse loving bird that used to do the sport for Moyles? She was on BBC news channel doing sport with a sour faced expression and now she’s vanished. Not missing her, just wondered…

Yes she left R1 to drop a sprog but she was on BBC News for a while (always looked like she was lowering herself to speak to the peasants like us).
Nice to see quite a few people like Dev on Radio 1. He’s a cracking listen at that time in the morning, always has me chuckling away. Anyone on here want to own up to being on super good fridays (or super bad girl fridays)?

A golden period. Hmmmmmmmm baby! It’s never been the same since.
Moyles was brilliant, as for you idiots that claim to be paying his wages, turn it in, less than half a % went to his wages. Afterall he isnt the only person in the BBC.
As for my listening, guess i"ll see how Grimmy does, afterall he needs a chance. If i decide he is not for me, then i"ll just station hop.
Moyles was the best thing to happen R1
where’s good for current affairs like you used to get on the 10 - 1 slot on talksport? i listen to jeremy vine but find him a bit wet after the likes of mike dickin, mike parry and jon gaunt

Slightly off subject if I was to listen to radio through the phone how much bandwith does it use. Just downloaded a free android app called tunein its staggering the selection of shows that is in there use it at home at the moment on WiFi.Listened to Moyles since he was on afternoons but cant say im gutted he has gone only other show on radio I like is Alex Lester and some of the Radio 2 one offs Dance classics and Brian Johnson spring to mind.
i use it quite a bit, very good app.
download 3g watchdog if you don’t already have it, that monitors how much interweb you’re munching, i have a 3gb allowance and don’t get anywhere near it.
i also used to use the laptop plugged into the stereo on the listen live part of talksports website, particularly on the top bit of the m6 where i could never get talksport properly on the radio
I’m sad to say but I think when Dev finishes at 06.30 I’ll be listening to the turbo whistle from now on. I can’t stand that Grimmy or Greg James.

think scott mills takes over for a week then its grimmy, not my cup of tea i used to like moyles’s banter ,its going to be all about the latest 1 direction song now and carly rae jepson (or what ever the ■■■■ her name is).
i will be listening to mp3’s on my generic nokia phone

You would hope on Monday morning you would listen to music instead of the constant drivel that comes from most stations you tune into thesedays with a tune played now and then while they think of what to waffle about for the next ten minutes. Remembering Radio 1 from its birth it just bashed out music all day and despite having some DJ’s that got on your brace n bits (Blackburn got called some choice names from the older members in our workshop) the amount of talk wasn’t half as irritating as it is today.
Eventually Radio 2 would become the chosen frequency as the years melted away and more patter crept into the routines but the tunes played were always old favourites or the odd popular new release, Steve Wright was a must in the afternoon for a laugh and for a few tears Simon Bates programme mid morning. I rarely listen to radio 1 or 2 thesedays and put the local BBC station on for my area. It seems some stations repeat the same songs/tunes over and over during the day. I never listened to Chris Moyles but understand he was popular with some, no one is indispensable though and he’ll be forgotten just as others in the past are now. Franky.

only if you admit to gtting lucky last night and give us your score
Dev is brilliant, and i love the super good fridays/ super bad girls. I think he is very entertaining especially at that time of the day.
Has anyone been on his show for anything? Like decode the load?

+3 & have been for the last 6 years or so
as for v feltz , she should never have been given the show, alex lester should have taken another hour & evans the other half hour , that would have sorted , it , & pop master should be dragged up a few more decades as well, nothing earlier than the 70’s would do nicely & have to agree steve wright is unfortunately well past his sell buy date , he’s been one of the few that has been allowed to carry on at R2 from R1. & as for saturday who’s idea was it replace Zoe Ball with Aneka Rice of all people
my day from a 4am start
R2 alex lester >0500
R4 end of world srvice/shipping /news / farming today /today programme etc >1200
R2 j vine >1400
R4 archers /play for today /whatevers scheduled >till i finish work or park up anytime up till 2000
