So monday morning what we gonna listen to?

My day started really well today… Driving in to work when I hear Alex Lester say the magic words “standing in for Vanessa today is…” music to my ears!

After hearing the ■■■■ sounding stand in I laughed at Evans telling about his latest impulse buy! His Missus shouldn’t let him out of her sight.

For me it’s R2 all day, except when Feltz is on, then it’s any station that scans first 'till 6.30.

Oh, as has been mentioned, Jack FM is awesome.

Certainly won’t be listening to Grimmy on R1. Has to be Alex Lester then onto Dev till 6.30, and then either Smooth radio or iPod through extremely useful auxiliary socket.

Tar very much for that, only decent thing about a newish Axor.

Well I will be listening to statick because someone snapped my ariel off this weekend!

that bloody grimmy does my head in…he sounds like dale winton

I’d rather watch paint dry, while drinking a tin of paint-stripper, before listening to “grimmy”… or anything else on radio 1 for that matter.
Moyles was the only half decent thing left on that station.

Bring back Mark & Lard, they were ■■■ brill!!!

I was listening to some of their best bits on YouTube last night. Pure class. Missing word, the rabbi Lionel Blair and fat harry white to name some. They wouldn’t get away with some of the content today though. Talk about close to the bone.

A golden period. Hmmmmmmmm baby! :grimacing: It’s never been the same since.

Let’s not forget One Man And His Frog…I may be wrong but Nick “I’m trying hard to be cool but attempting to look like I’m not interested in being cool” Grimshaw won’t be able to beat that.

This weeks caption comp innit.

Hold me tighter the ships sinking.

A few facts. The new controller at R1 did not renew Moyles’s contract, not moyles’s decision. Secondly he is not going to Capital. i know this as one of my mates works at Capital in London, now called Global Radio Network. He is, i’m told going to prance around in theatre for a while, and is propbably going to do a late night show on R1.
Liked him when he was on the Chiltern network, and Capital, but as soon as he went to R1 he disappeared up his own arse, moaning for half an hour that he hadn’t been paid his vast wage one month, then threatening to go and sort them out after the show. The saviour of Radio 1, thought that was Chris Evans. He played 3 songs an hour, then spent the other 50 minutes loving the sound of his own voice. Radio 2 for me, and has been for a long time. Radio 1 died when Matthew Bannister took over the reins.

Moyles was great! He was outspoken sometimes but only what we wanted to say, and I loved the format of show too with the funny bits and not taking life to serious, and the gang of people havin a laugh, yep I found a lot of the rAdio 1 music is ■■■■■■ but overall a good funny show

I’ll miss his show, the music was crap but used to love the banter. Radio 1 has already been deleted from my radio presets. Have listened to Moyles since he started at R1, also agree with the comments on Marc and Lard. Nick Grimshaw whooooooooo?

Radio 5 live for me now, can’t find anything else worth listening too I feel lost

It was certainly an end of an era, but I wouldn’t go that far.

Reminds me of Viz cartoon, Simon Salad-Cream and the controller Matthew Stair-Carpet.

Also reminds me of this resignation…

Good god no, much as I like Radio 5 at certain times of the day, mornings is not one of them. Nicky Campbell is a ■■■■■
