That was exactly this one, what I posted couple of posts above.
Yeah but you do go on a bit Orys, so I thought I’d give the audience the short version
I posted short version of this movie here before as well
Did you notice the ones they asked were all chavs
Its not even the lazy chav’s its others as well.
A lot of young people turn their nose up to any kinda manual job or technical job never mind cleaning toilets.
They would rather goto university get some generic business degree, come out and discover that the only jobs they can get are paying £15K a year and they think they are doing well and look down their noses at the likes of truck drivers and people working in warehouses earning more money.
my first job was working in a cake factory 10 years ago and a lot of us young people started of there before moving on to better jobs seems to me that its the young people of this generation that are lazy. Ive been applying for jobs manage to get 3 interviews. just waiting for my driving licence to arrive back then i can do my lgv theory test.
speak english fluently?
hold a VALID driving licence?
display ability to drive to British standards & safely?
hold a VALID permit to work in this country?
hard working and decent person?
honest?
good attitude ■■
if so, then give the bloke a chance whether or not his roots might be foreign - not very fair to pre-judge people. anyone else who’s been on the recieving end of that kind of treatment i’m sure will agree. i totally sympathise on the point that it’s pish how companies are now sacrificing these above qualities to employ a lot of immigrants who clearly don’t fulfill them purely to ‘cut costs’. Need to make the distinction between foreign & unqualified though, just 'cos you’re 1 - doesn’t automatically make you the other
but scroungers and people trying to cheat the system - KICK THEM OUT, no sympathy whatsoever (and the do-gooders making a living out of trying to defend them as well)

Wouldn’t those four criteria, or any two of them, put the majority of British drivers out of work?

EC Citizens don’t need any permits to work here.
That is correct EU citizens do not need a permit to work here, but this is getting BORING now, 6 pages of Orys sticking up for them, congratulations Orys on your grasp of the English language but instead of poncing around on your computer you could try & educate your fellow countrymen so that they can do the same, oh & while you’re at it you could explain the procedure of washing under your arms & using deodorant

It must be easier to learn English than Polish mate, at least our words contain vowels
As for washing, I am Mr Clean, shave every day, change my clothes every day & as I’m on containers I never work hard enough to sweat

That’s true. There are historican issues, what caused this situation.
I can be honest with you and I tell you, that it would be much better for me if Poland would be the richest economy in Europe and all british people will go to Poland for work

You bet! I am tutoring some Scots in polish. Pronouncation of polish word is really hard for them. And on the top of that is grammar - did you ever tried french? Did you find it hard with all this masculine and feminine? You should try polish
But we also have some vovels, look: chrząszcz ← there is one even in this word

Not a bad idea that Orys, Poland is a beautiful country for sure, but would you really want a load of good looking Englishmen over there messing around with all those deserted women, you got some right little stunners over there, Easyjet to Krakow £39 return, now where’s my box of condoms
Sorry to drag on an old thread, but I know of a driver who was recently made redundant.
Jobs become redundant, not people, so therefore his job actually no longer existed.
The following week, his motor is back out on the road but with some eurotrash driving it.
Hmmm, Shafted or what?? You decide, but I can bet you, his boss has just saved himself 10k a year.
This is only my opinion but while our bosses are willing to shaft good, long standing employees like this means that neither they, nor the EU drivers they replace us with, deserve any respect or assistance above what is in our job description.
Just to add, I have no problem with any nationality but its crippling this industry with the huge numbers involved.
I reckon we all should meet up up in Watford Gap next weekend, all the Brits on one side of the lorry park & all the flatheads on the other, someone blows a whistle & we have a good old fashioned punch up, that’ll sort it once & for all
