Curryfest not sure the whole union should be broke up the Welsh seem happy enough with it the way it isAs for northern ireland it will be United with the republic some day there are more nationalist now than unionist now
Assuming that England eventually does the right thing by returning England to it’s own borders then Wales will automatically obviously become an independent nation again just like Scotland etc.If you’re right about that Nationalist majority in Ulster then that just provides even more reason for the government here to dissolve the union at it’s start point instead of at the edges.
As always the problem seems to be in the mindset of too many of the English who for some reason have a problem with a seperate nation state British Isles.That mindset being the main obstacle to sorting the whole issue out in a matter of weeks/months not years.

As I’ve said elsewhere I’m English but with a small Irish nationalist family background by maternal Grandmother too.Knowing the grief that the idea of the UK union caused to her family amongst many others historically I’d say that the idea of union is a festering wound that should have been healed by dissolving it at it’s start point here for once and for all long ago.As for the Welsh the idea that there isn’t also a strong nationalist movement there might be an understatement.
I really can’t understand why so many of the English can’t seem to get their heads around living under this flag within their own borders and finally put the idea of the union and all the heartache it’s caused throughout history behind us.
lets see what the percentage is, i think you will be surprised and probably disappointed, you too Irish Lorrys. In our so called democratic country of the united kingdom, how can it be justified in our political system, that out of 59 Scottish members of parliament in Westminster. 1 is conservative, 41 are labour and the other 17 are various other parties. So the whole nation of Scotland is being governed by the Conservatives in London. Is it any wonder why there is unrest. Regards Jamie.

You can make the same case for any area of the UK. Yorkshire for example! or Cornwall, or Essex. Each county has councils who vote and decide on many issues. The Scots have their own parliament who also decide most Scottish only issues and in future they’re even going to set their own income tax levels!
You can also ask why politicians from Scotland get to vote on English issues.
Basically it’s because we’re all one country and we’re all the better for it!

I agree with putting it in the past but also think you should be proud of your history everyone always forgets too that some of the English opened soup kitchens so they wouldn’t all bad

I think he’s referring to Muslim extremists - The Taliban and ISIS for example. If wet don’t all stand up to them we’ll be in trouble big time.

I agree but you can’t expect us to join the army
As a Scotsman here we are at 6 pages and the majority of them are by Englishmen strikes me you are more interested in the Referendum than us Scots are, Oh and now Carryfast has joined in it will go to 14 pages without any problem. Eddie.
