Scottish Referendum

lespullan:
As a Yorkshireman living in Glasgow its a definite no for me, Britain does not need this, Salmond and his sidekick are out for glory for themselves not Scotland.
Les.

Aye Salmond Is leading em all up the Garden Path, he has Delusions of Grandeur that man, very dangerous Indeed all for himself and his Cronies,Well thems My Thoughts Tin Hats at the Ready Chris.

could not have said it better alex some other points though

bank of England was not allways called that check ur history & it was set up for the nations of the UK not just from the Watford gap southwards.
England do not own the pound the british people do. I suppose thats why the people of jersey/isle of man who have there own goverments can use the pound ( I await comments on that so I can jump on those digging a hole )

as for alex salmond being a bully he was the nice one in the debate. he is just waiting to strike then you’ll see a determined man and not a bully.

darling also lied on public spending as he said the scots get more per head than any other part of Britain. I take it London is not part of Britain now as the goverments own stats show there is more money spent per head on Londoners than per head in Scotland

darling also would not own up to the fact he said Scotland would be better off than staying put

I think in 20 years time we will find out that the no camp have been telling us all including the people of England/wales/Ireland lies just like they did in 1979 until we found out about years later.

some other stuff to say but need the let my head calm down.

ha ye usual closet dribble as for bank of England I wouldn’t worry your little brain about it as I hope u get your way /independence and u can jog of with your new euro if they let u in that is . unlike u and you and your racist mob most people in the great English nation don’t giv a t…s what u do as im sure we will survive .so hope u get your way and we see who survives :imp:

Frazer
I agree with you about Darling, at one point he refused to answer Salmond’s questions and the audience gave him stick for that.
Not the usual performance from Salmond though, he got caught over the currency issue and made a hash of that.
As you say, though, time will tell.

Eddie
I notice you mention the Bedroom Tax.
Isn’t it the case that that tax came from Westminster? Yet, you seem to think it’s Salmonds Fault.
Didn’t Thatcher prevent councils from using money from the sale of Social Housing to build more houses? Westminster again.
Nothing to do with Salmond.
The Referendum is about Scotland, and only Scotland, not Salmond or the SNP. I notice you don’t attack those in the Labour and Green Party who support Independence.
Why is that?
They don’t get expenses?

Alex

This is why Scotland should become independent so they don’t have to listen to people like you who only thinks about himself and not the good people of Scotland Dearbhófar do lá teacht

I have family who r English so im not racist what I and a lot of other people don’t like is the “London is the center of the earth government” who use us tell us a load of pie take all of our hard earned cash tell us we have to go years with out pay rises etc. while they still give them selfs inflation busting pay rises. so I want a Scottish government for the hope that they r not as bad as them lot in London ( u scratch my back I’ll scratch urs as long as the gravy train keeps running) now that is what gets up my nose.

P.s. spoke to a lot of people from Manchester Liverpool who would love to b joining us but they must also b racist and not part of the great English nation.
so when u coming up north for a drink then with all us racist mob …

I thought it high time to stir things up!

As a Scot domiciled in England I think everyone has a right to comment and I don’t agree with the sentiment that only those Scots living in Scotland have the right to an opinion.

Mine is basically this.

Scotland became part of the UK mainly because of the Darien disaster when bankruptcy loomed large.
Apart from the oil, Scotland has done very nicely out of its relationship with England.
The collapse of RBS and Bank of Scotland would have been devastating to the Scottish economy if they had been independent.
There is a percentage of the Scottish population who will always hate the relationship but they are a small minority.
The SNP is a socialist party way to the left of Labour. Their economic vision does not add up.
Devolution would be a very dangerous experiment.

Stay with us. We love you!

stir it up you have only 6 weeks to go of this nonsense Freedom :grimacing:

ye real good answer so English people are the selfish ones think u find its some of the Scottish not bothered about rest of uk and wanna be independent well I and a lot like me will also have our say not all English will sit back and be slagged by scots or irish or welsh and would appreciate replies in English not that rare lingo u obviously think rest of world should speak ok dim dim muck

I mind hearing some were that us northern Irish may get the same choice in 2016 is the balls or truth

ha ye rest of Europe wants to get together and wales/Ireland/Scotland/ wanna be solo hope they all get what they looking for stick few borders up as well do it properly lets git/r done then we can all know our enemies :imp:

The democratic vote must be respected but in the case of this Scots referendum IMO,Salmond and that dodgy bird sidekick are going to lead Scotland into oblivion if they win the vote.He won’t be able to use the £ for a kick off or if he manages to his financial strings will still be pulled by London ! Second, there’s no way will he get a unanamous vote to join the EU,Spain for one wouldn’t vote yes and if he did manage to get in he would have to accept the Euro as the currency. If he does win the vote it won’t take long for the “proverbial” to hit the fan then you’d see a mass exodus over the Border south, well an influx of Jocks is far better(only marginally   ) than what we get from over the Channel !! Obviously I’m not bothered either way but I just don’t want to see Salmond victorious in the short term then proceeding to lead Scotland into the “valley of death”,it would be tragic but I’m sure the majority of Scots see right through those [zb] the SNP so the right result will win ! No Customs or Border posts will need to be erected at Gretna or Berwick  Cheers Bewick.

Why won’t anyone in Salmonds gang answer the most important questions,1)The £,if he was to get use of this currency it would be controlled from London otherwise there would end up being a Scottish £ ( which was only ever worth 19/6d to the English one in any case) 2)If Salmond does succeed to gain entry to the EU (which he wont) he would have to accept the Euro.In a nut shell if there is a vote Yes i.e. “I’m jacking Jimmy” he (Salmond) can’t then dictate to his former “employer” the terms he requires to “jack”.My understanding, having been both an employee and a an employer is when you hand your notice in and leave it’s your choice, period ! Great Britain hasn’t sacked Scotland, they will have chosen to leave ! so I say good bye and good luck but lets have no more whining and blaming the English as it would be a democratic choice so “paddle your own ■■■■■■■ canoe up ■■■■ creek Jimmy”.The bonus for England will be a “wipe out” of any future Labour governments as a result of the loss of the Scottish MP’s,■■■■■■■ great I say ! Cheers Bewick.

frazer smith I totally understand ur thinking but do u think Scottish people r the only ones that get screwed by London politics if the main men were in Glasgow it would be just same anyway so luck with what u desire be careful what u wish for p.s. I love scotland

You don’t know what the governments like over here racist as ■■■■ and there unionist ■■■■■ who think there english people think things have changed my hole

Calm down guys! It’s only the breakup of our country after several hundred successful years that we’re talking about.

The great thing in our Union is that, like it or not, everyone has a chance of succeeding and getting to the top. We’ve had English at the helm, Welsh, and a plethora of Scots.

I love Scotland and would move there tomorrow if my wife would let me! But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Our Union works well, otherwise why does the whole world want to come and live with us?

Salmond’s main thrust is that he wants to move even further to the left and will spend everyone else’s money in the doing! His policies do not even start to add up and he is utterly unable to answer the most basic questions apart from his showman’s bluster.

Voting with your heart is great if you don’t then have to suffer the consequences!

and there lies the problem u hate them they hate you I know quite bit more probably than u think my mother irish and know all about the hurt and troubles personally but don’t wanna go down that road just aving bit banta some things just wont change I geuss

That’s funny because my da is english I’m not on about the troubles I’m about the government treating both sides different like the flegs

I am just happy that the scottish people are getting to make their own choice

ye so am I but as I am also half English it gets bit annoying everytime this comes up seems England getting blame for whatever anyway gd luck to ya

I’m not on about the English I’m on about the northern Irish government nothing to do with the English
