I was speaking earlier to a young Scots in their 20’s, they care about the future of Scotland. Their opinion was Scotland’s future is at the heart of Europe, with Germany being our closest ally (not England), both France & Germany would like an independant Scotland, & Germany will not let Scotland fail.
I see a few Labour supporters (the Blairites & the Brownites) coming out on here with their spin, well the people of Scotland are fed up with your spin.
Frankydobo:
Is there any point to this political diatribe on a Truck website, wait until the vote result then do the bleating!
Quite right there Franky as it seems the vote will be very close and could go either way so the [zb] will really start to fly then Bewick.
Scottish poll reflects world-wide disillusion with political leaders and old establishments leaving openings for libertarians and far left. You Blairites have had your day, and forget about this nonsense about Gordon Brown being a great Chancellor of the Exchequer
Jazzandy:
Unfortunately the NO campaign has to be nghative - That’s what No means and it gives the Yes campaign a huge advantage.
This morning Osborne confirmed that if the vote is NO, Scotland will not be allowed to keep using the pound. The ramifications of this are huge. She will not be in the EU so will not be able to use the Euro.
All financial institutions will move south because that’s where they make their money. Scottish shipyards will all close. Unemployment will rocket and where is the money going to come from to pay the Benefits let alone the Scottish NHS?
Get real guys before it’s too late.
Ship yards closed if not nearly. Financial institutions already in London. NHS on its way to private health care. And as Osborne has already admitted Scotland can not be stopped from using the pound. Unemployment ready to go sky high if it’s a no vote. And unless you are an immergrant then you have to jump through hoops just to get to see some one about getting benefits. So I take it can only get better if we vote yes…
Hey, a stranger, is Scotland strong enough as Norway with it’s Nord Sea Oil drillings to go along ■■?
does it want to leave the EU or want it the Euro currency.
We Belgians, which many Flemish people want to go along without the Wallons, but of my part I’m a Belgian
and think (sure) we would be even worse as a Flemish state, AND without any raw materials.
Of course lot’s here don’t like the EU too, but how can we without it, arounded by EU countries■■?
But can the strong EU countries support the whole poor EU or world NO.

Eric,
You are dead right Eric, the problem is,and always has been, that the whole idea of the “confidence trick” that started off as the EEC (European Economic Community) has morphed into a full blown “superstate” but the membership is so diverse that the idea that “one size fits all” does not work nor ever will.Am I glad that we are an island and therefore should be able to divest ourselves of membership, hopefully sooner rather than later. As for Scotland, well IMO they can go their own way democratically, although when they find out the grass isn’t greener on the other side it will be too late, they won’t be able to join the EU and fair enough they could continue to use the £ but only in the same way that certain central south american countries use the US $,they would have no say in interest rates or exchange rates as the £ would still be controlled from London so they wouldn’t really be indipendant no matter what gloss Salmond would put on it.So England would still get the blame for the future problems they will most certainly encounter.Enough ! Cheers Bewick.

Yes Wesminister has allowed the French to take over UK based companies, so their friends in the city can make a quick profit.
You show a very poor grip of capitalism and international trade.
The risk you guys are taking is enormous. Have you really thought through needing a passport to visit England? Border Controls? Work permits for England? Massive unemployment? No hard currency?
Salmond has fed you a load of airy fairy baloney and all this rubbish about the NHS. Scots already control their own NHS and decide how much money to spend on it.

The Scots are quite at liberty to make their own democratic choice either way as is their right. However,as far as England is concerned supposing the vote turned out to be a “Yes” well we couldn’t allow a Borderless banana republic to spring up on our door step and yet be allow the Scots to continue happily along as if nothing had changed !! Salmond and his side kick Nicola seem to think they can dictate their own terms after the possible split well I believe they will both be in for a nasty shock when they have to wake up and smell the coffee, they might not believe that a sealed border is required but it most certainly will for both road and rail.I bet it won’t take the Ileagals very long to find out that Scotland will be an ideal entry point to gain access to (Eldorado) England, that is of course if they can push through the crowds of Scots trying gain entry to England at Berwick and Gretna eh! Interesting times are-a-coming of that there is no doubt.cheers Bewick.

Always thought you were One of the sensible Ones on here until you spouted this load of absolute crap.
