Scottish Referendum

Alternative ending.

America has enough problems at home and decides to let the Scottish people decide the future of Scotland although it goes against all it’s and the English/Ulster Unionists’ federalist values. The SNP win the referendum for independence but lose the following elections for the Scottish parliament.A new Party is formed based on the ideology of a historic figure known as Wallace and then apply strict nationalist protectionist policies against imports of any product which can be produced in Scotland and which automatically removes any possibility of being an EU member. The mines are reopened Scotland becomes self sufficient in coal fired power generation. The English apply for a new Union seeing how good the Scottish economy is performing. The Scots tell the English to zb off and get their own country right.

I’m guessing it probably will be a no.But it can’t do any harm to make the case for the nationalist cause. :bulb:

As I’ve said it’s what would actually be best for England not just Scotland and Ireland. In finally throwing away the flawed UK unionist mindset and getting back to living under our own flags within our own borders.Hopefully eventually even returning the historic regional governments within England. That is the issue,in that with that change in mindset in England, the idea of unionism would be irrelevant. As we’ve sen here it will be difficult to convince those, who are still for whatever reason committed to that flawed outdated mindset,to make that change in thinking.

Well carryfast as you still live in a democracy we will see how many agree it’s flawed. Personally I would vote yes if I could because I agree that it’s flawed. But it’s flawed in Scotland’s favour. And don’t start on about whiskey an oil

Scotlands favour, read the Mccrone report just Google it and get the real facts i dont think you will like the truth.

Not been on for a while so here goes this is about scottish independence not Welsh or irish or any other country we don’t hate the English. We are not voting for Alec salmond or the snp we are voting for independence once we have done that if it is yes then we can vote for a Scottish labour or lib dem etc to be a Scottish government for the Scottish people who Will work with the British government irish government etc. For the good of its own citizens and it’s neighbours I.e England, irish, Welsh. As for the polls they said the snp had no chance of winning the election for the Scottish elections but they won with a land slide. So don’t go by the polls.

Another debate tonight it’s yes yes yes for me.

No but forgot what Date the vote is

Well a lot of bad tempered hot air last night caused in the main by Alec Salmond’s bullying rabble rousing tactics and it worked for him. Certainly his rabble in the hall made themselves heard!

He came across to me as a pig. Still no answers to the crucial currency question. If you have the pound your fiscal policy will be dictated by Westminster. If it’s the Euro then it will be Brussels.

Do you really want to be governed by someone like this? The whole ethos is spend spend spend. No mention of his governments record in crucifying Fergusons for example by buying nationalised ferries abroad! No mention of wealth creation. All he wants is to destroy the status quo.

If it ain’t broke don’t mend it!

funny how all the oil running out stories are out but then bp release this

Well I aint bothered which way this vote goes, but there are only five and a quarter million Scots so when you work out the percentage that are able to work and contribute to the coffers there aint too many of them once you remove the OAP’s and the cronically sick etc. This may be all very well if the old oil keeps coming but Mr Salmon is always quoting the top line money on this asset and disregards the out takes of the industry, silly move. Any one in business realizes things don’t always go to plan, right from when I started as an OD pulling other peoples trailers you scraped a living working all hours but if you had the misfortune to have a blow out bang went you profit for two weeks. This is only compounded when you run a company as I went on to do but then its your employee’s that make the errors but you still collect the tag.
Watched that debate last night from start to finish, and what I abhor is one speaker shouting out another, happened both ways last night, they never give straight answers to straight questions which is what the audience want. Government in this country is the same, my god if I got to be prime minister in five years I could sort out the UK in the first six months of office as I suspect a good few of you could also, you then got four and a half years to prove your worth to the disbelievers but no one with the balls to do this yet. All to late for me but its your grand children you have to think about what future for them in a multicultural society a proportion of which want to go to war. My god this place needs an all mighty shakeup but I fear its to late now, Buzzer
