This is a great thread lads i served my apprentiship on scanias 76 110 111 and 140s ill post a photo of the motor i past my hgv test on .not many 21year olds got to drive motors like that 30yrs ago ,all my mates at that time were trailing about in atkys and erf.

Here’s a CM cutting confirming it.

Heres the photo of our 110 ,i past my hgv on this with the tipping trailer .We ran this motor day and night dad did four loads to trumix at bradford during the day 240 miles then i went up to bellshill or motherwell at night with lime to the steel works and re loaded back out of carlise with sand ,400 miles five days a week, and never missed a beat.It replaced an aec mandator a good motor but not in the same leagueas the scania.

a lot of old italian truck were right hand drive it was to do with tight mountain roads or so i was allways told .
