Other day I was moving the works Scania R400 with a 4 over 4 box and while it was fine going into gear (unlike the Volvo 
) it didnt seem to like going into reverse “quickly” unless you waited in neutral for a wee while. This normal for one of these 'boxes?
Everything that’s a fault for a decent box is normal for a Scania.
yes mine is the same. easiest way is to put it in first gear first then into reverse

Ill try that next time, no one batted an eyelid when I was in it and stopped for a few seconds taking a shunt at the bay after moving forward a bit so cant just be my driving
