There’s been some excellent suggestions so far, but would the typical British truckstop gastronomic fair suit Mrs G’s refined palette? Maybe with a little more info about her preferences would help us to narrow down suggestions

Sorry, can’t help with any suggestions, but maybe some pics of the trip? Of the lorry at least…

Karla’s very much into the indigenous Spanish fair Pierre. Ive already told her shes going to have to compromise somewhat over in the UK and she’ll be fine with that, not so much into self catering as i am so theres little choice in the matter

Thanks again Lads (and ladies) for all the suggestions and offers of help, as im really not up to date with much in the UK its much appreciated
At a rough guesstimate she’ll have around 4hrs driving time left after tipping Norwich and as shes not so lead footed as i am (and with all the recommendations) looks like the Stockyard is going to be the best bet but ive listed all the other suggestions for her as well…

That’s what I suspected, the cuisine at the stockyard (albeit a bit of a compromise) should suit her.
Theres also a Morrisons supermarket nearby (next to Junction 1 of the motorway) where she can get fresh supplies and fuel if reqd.

I might be going out on a limb here, but my guess is, backed up by the avatar of a Volvo that doesn’t exist and a Porsche that belongs to somebody else, there is no Karla.

Park next to bedfords transport, at batley( opposite the pheasant pub) but the side where xpo have the tanker wash very quiet I park there all the time always wagons parked there and pub does food or mcds along the road

What a bizarre statement. Is there something that leads you to your assertion?

What has struck me as quite odd, has been that a person with so much happening so often, has never posted so much as a single picture of his beloved steed, the work he does etc etc. His avatar is out of a video game and the picture he posted of a Porsche cabrio he supposedly owns, is actually from an ad for a company offering parking solutions.

Now add to this all the mindboggling “facts” he regularly posts about euro work, that I find hard to get my head around after 10 years and 33 different countries on said work, one can only marvel at the discrepancies one finds when browsing through his first posts from early 2016. One day he hasn’t been in the UK for decades, a couple of weeks later his missus has a company there, the list is pretty long.

Happy to be proven wrong, not really up for a fight honestly.

i reckon its a sneaky ploy to entrap him so that he has to put up a pic of his misses and lets us have a peek.
i wonder if he as a few pics of random strangers lying about from previous holidays in amsterdam or denmark…that might work?
might not be much of a fight though as most end u as a handbags at dawn big huff hissy fit.

I’ve noticed a few times he’s avoided the new truck pictures a few times when it’s been mentioned. With all the lead up to it arriving I thought he’d be putting them up every 5 minutes.

I don’t think the onus is on him to prove himself. What you’ve described strikes me as a normal person, who has made a successful go of owning a small lorry business. If it were not, it’s a strangely pedestrian illusion to conjure up. Say over Mafia Don or SAS sniper.

Milodon,

I tend to agree with you, something don’t ring true… so Andrew over to you ? Few photos of Norfolk line old tilts with a Volvo 700 on the front will prove us wrong

The business has been active for 18 months, tops.

Not quite sure where youre coming from here  What ‘mind boggling facts’? So much happening so often? Its just day to day.
As for Karla not existing that really is a bizarre statement, we’ve been together 19 years married for 17 years (April 29th 2000). Karla passed her class 1 June 2013.The avatar posted is a generic picture, ive said that in the past as i put that up before taking delivery of my current FH16, dont know about any video games as i dont play them. My 911 is standing on a turntable which i had installed supplied by a specialist company for which i gave permission to use pictures. The fact i dont show pictures of my beloved steed is purely down to confidentiality re the company i sub for, as well as my own name i also advertise their outfit.
I grew up in Thorpe st. Andrew Norwich, army Pt instructor, worked for Fitzmaurice carriers Norwich (passed class 1there) and was on a contract with Roys of Wroxham, Gordon Wright Melton Constable, Jack Richards Fakenham (old man Jack was still about then but was taken on by Anthony Richards) , Cantrell Transport Norwich run by Peter Smith and based at Norwich cattle market before buying an F7 from Leggets Woolpit and going solo. I had three failed marriages in the UK (Diane, Maxine and Tara) before moving out to Spain. I still have my house in the UK which is on long term rent.
Quite happy to post the above but if theres any more detailed info required youre welcome to pm me…

Which unit were you in A?

just send us some old pics of random strangers from old holidays and that should suffice for even the most pernickity of tncsi members.
always prudent not to be provng who you are when you run with a more flexible attitude to rules and regs than the uk plobbers.
