I sometimes get that feeling too , monday is make or break as far as we are concerned now
I hope You get a good outcome on Monday, Drivers need People like You to provide them with a Good Honest Meal for a good Honest price 
. There are too many places quite happy to rob You rotten for a very substandard Meal 
.It seams to Me to be a pity that You do not actually run a Truck Stop, Parking, Fuel the lot as from what I have read on here it would become a very popular place in very little time. Best of Luck to You however it turns out.

I called in yesterday morning and to be fair it was a lot better than it was. I had a sandwich and while ok that was it, a hint is been dropped here for sausages where you can taste the meat.
I would go back again as it was ok. It might be an idea to remove the contaband tobacco for sale out of view though.

Thanks for dropping in Ben9, we have tried many sausages and some people say one sort is good then others comment they are not as good as another 
Not sure which others to try which would allow us to be able to keep prices where they are obviously the expensive butchers own are much better in content but we would have to up price by about 80p to cover it , we will take note and if anyone else says same then we will try another sort … thanks for mentioning it .
i asked jess if he has any tobbaco he said only his own which he keeps on shelf … but if you get stuck for some he will help you out as he knows its hard if you dont have any 
As for the proper cafe … well today we met with market boss they shown us around the top floor of the building which is very big ! he said if we were willing to work up there they will convert it to any set up we chose ! at moment its offices but not used but the walls are ony panels which easily come down, he wants it done as matter of urgency there will be a large cooking eating area there are already toilets up there but showers are being done too for ladies and gents , there will be an area away from eating area with tv and maybe pool table , we are thinking maybe get singer or comedian in on weds or thurs night if price right and will enquire about license to sell just canned beers and cider as dont want full bar … but lets take it easy for now .
access will be via some steel stairs at end of building with slabs outside and covered area for smoking …
Thats the plan as it stands many details to be worked out but he says he wants it so people have showers available for the summer months …so he dont have long !!
oops cancel that lot ! been on phone with firebrigade as we wanted advise on few things and it seems there would have to be lots of planning permission and architect drawings done which could take ages … looks like time for plan G !! update soon 
I go past your place every week but have never been in - I think I’ll give you a try next week as the feedback on here now seems really good.
Just out of interest do you have to pay for parking just to use the cafe or do you get a couple of hours free?
I know its a really dumb question but I have never stopped there?

But what about the parking charges ? ? ? All this talk of expanding the cafe/getting gigs in is moot unless you can get a decent cut of the parking. You admitted yourself only a few weeks ago that the food sales aren’t making you any money (or words to the effect of). Personally I think you’re wasting your time until you can filter some of the parking money. The landlord/owner has got you right where he wants you : you provide the food = more folks through the gate = more trucks overnighting = more money into his pocket which you get 0 of. Look at it another way - if the food side was profitable don’t you think they’d be doing it themselves? 
totally true rob , we do need to have something from the parking , its all a bit indepth regarding the owner of the market and a board of trustees that has just taken over the place.
It must be some sort of tax thing but the owner is renting part of the market from the board of trustees , his contract is being signed in 2 weeks then he says things will change and we can earn from all aspects of the cafe including parking … the main thing i dont want is to make charges to high to drive people away … we definatly need to earn from somewhere and the parking is the obvious place .
as i said to ray the owner of cafe , we pay rent and he gets cut of parking so we are losing that much each week so it cant be profitable for us as it was him … he didnt pay rent to anyone got/gets truck money and also didnt have to pay wages as they worked it full time their selves so hell of a difference to our situation.
the market owner seems to be getting involved himself in the site so will see what transpires when he gets his lease sorted out , have said we cannot afford to stay as things stand … he agrees it is very unsatisfactory and promises a better situation when all settled , wants us to hang on just little longer and to be honest we came through a very bad winter lets see if we can get a good summer before we go … or stay
m4rky, be nice of you to pop in parking free for customers up to 2 hours but parking is for customer use only … which you would be …we are getting a few trucks that stop for breaks but dont come buy anything which i personally disagree with … my view is if we are not good enough for them to use then we are not good enough for free parking or picking up the litter they leave behind .

Hi hunter I came back again today and was a little shocked your sausage has shrunk 
Nice food once again though, only question is why do most cafes not flip a fried egg? I couldn’t eat mine today as I can’t eat them runny but I forgot to ask for it well done so my fault it’s not a dig either I promise most places I go are the same 
I hope it works out for you now I am planning on stopping by for a 30 min break and breakfast whenever I’m passing by. Also any chance you could start doing jacket potatoes? Nice alternative to the usual chips and a burger for a lunch time snack and much healthier to!
Hi ollie , i personally do flip or cover the egg to do both sides and always ask how want egg … believe it or not it actually winds some people up if you ask them ! they say just flippin cooked how else? … i ask ok then would you like it to run down your shirt or stay on the fork or roll?
sorry about shrunken sausage will try grow again we could only do microwave baked potato at moment some like others dont … if you happy with that we will get some potatos in and do this , also in next few weeks we will do a lighter food such as salad as lots dont want the heavy meals in hot weather .

I truly hope you get it working it your favour as your heart is clearly in it, but my usual sceptical self is telling me that you’re being strung along with a bunch of promises that will never come to anything. It’s a pie with far too many fingers in it.

Hi Mr Hunter. why not knock up an A4 poster that we can print off and place in our transport offices. Iv tasted some wright [zb] since I started tramping for walkers, but Iv been into you a couple of times and you are a lot better than most. We as drivers and customers can and I hope willing to do more. Its a cracking idea re the trailer stickers.

Hey, I came up with the concept - so I have intellectual rights on any slogans thought up I’d be willing to split any royalties with you 50/50 though
