Are you serious, the poor bloke is driving a left ■■■■■■ and is committed to pulling out while you are way back, it`s foggy and you knew he was on his way, try lifting your foot off or your going to be on the traffic news.
Or, you have got a new camera?

There seemed to be quite a large gap after that BMW goes past to attempt to get into lane 2 and help the guy out.
You may not like the proliferation of East European haulage round europe, but that’s the fault of the politians who believe in some uptopia of a United Europe and big business who saw the chance for cheap labour, not some poor bugger driving a LHD truck trying his best to squeeze out of a layby into a fast moving Dual carriageway.
The Romanian truck is at fault here.
If you look properly at the footage he has pulled out totaly blind as his truck would be left hand drive and he is leaving the layby at an angle.
He would of left the layby with no way of knowing if anything was coming.
If any of you have driven a lhd truck before you might not be so quick to have a go at the Hammy.
I have seen this happen many times and witnesed an accident when a Spanish truck pulled out of a filling station blind and caused an accident on the A1 a while back.
Hammy looked like he was driving at a sensible speed and clearly could not pull over due to faster moving traffic passing.
The problem with this forum is some people have nothing better to do than slag off other people.

same story for us driving rhd trucks abroad, nobodys perfect, sometimes your just totally blind and theres nothing you can do about it,except try and make the best of it and then its who dares wins…its a pity the dashcam warrior didnt pay a bit extra for a wide angle cab facing camera so we could all see the size of the massive ■■■■■ he was getting when finally he could have the remotest excuse to upload some footage of pish like this after forking out and getting said camera for xmas…complete mince and the flipflop either judged it ok,or was just lucky he went where he went.either way dasham failure.non event.

Totally blind? do you not think he would have been using his near side wide angle mirror to see whats coming? most, unlike the OP use mirrors to see whats coming up behind them!
He could have had his mate in the passenger seat also looking, saying your ok, but we have an inconsiderate English driver coming who wont go into lane 2 even though there is gap big enough for him.
Putting this incident aside ,it does happen a lot where they trundle down the layby and then straight out in front of the traffic passing ,I guess it’s not easy driving a left ■■■■■■ in this country ,but surely if you’re vision is impaired you would take extra care by stopping at the end of the layby and spend a second or two too try and and make sure your exit is as safe as possible .
I go back a few years ago ,I ran out of hours ,was then collected by 2 of our drivers ,one was Polish ,he then proceeded too pull out of the layby straight in front of the 2 trucks baring down on us,one overtaking so know here for the truck on inside too go ,horns, lights going off ,he just waved his arm and said move over ,move over and we were in a right hand drive truck ( if he’d of indicated it may of forwarned the trucks approaching of his intentions .
I just think it just a case of I’m coming out whatever ,but that’s not just a foreign driver issue ,plenty over here have the same mentality
I’d get your brakes checked after that, and hopefully the load didn’t shift too much in the 3 mile stretch you had to slow down or move over, the inconsideration of some people seeing a perfect gap to join in eh?
Watch the OP’s video and can’t see what all the hullabaloo is about, what point are you trying to make… nothing serious or worth writing home about or is it more about the fact that he’s a trucker our of the eastern block brethren
Don’t get me might see below par but then if the shoe was on the other foot, probably thats how our driving looks to them.
So he pulled out on you, big deal … you had enough room to slow down… stop, even probably had enough time to scratch your arse… and change lanes if you was on top of your game but you didn’t, thus coming on here pi s s ing and moans Ohhhhhh look who pulled out on me
In the words of Jeremy Kyle…Man up and grow a pair

Eh?
So you stop and then when you see a gap big enough you start a heavy vehicle moving from a dead stop and by the time you are out of the lay-by that gap is a hell of a lot smaller.
Or
You ‘trundle’ down the lay-by watching for a gap you can merge into and when you see one, especially as it is a fellow truck driver way down the road who will likely sympathise with your situation and assist you, at which point you increase speed in an already moving vehicle thus getting up to speed quicker as there is less resistance to break to get the thing moving and being less of a hazard while doing so.
Mmmmhhh, tough call. You really do live up to your name eh?
Think the OP’s dun a runner.
Not wishing to join the pile on but it just looks to me like another Speilberg wannabee trying to make a drama out of a non event. Whats worrying is these dashcam drama queens drive in a poor manner to make a situation worse for the camera to justify ownership of camera and presentation of footage.
Perhaps cyclistUK is a better forum for this stuff as they love a bit of this sort of action.

No,he’s got a new post about a checkpoint , still photo this time.
its one of the reasons i got out of driving after 26 years
the automatic hgv driver today just doesn’t have a clue, they just stick it in drive and off they go with there sat navs,
they just dont know how to handle a situation that might happen on route, in there stupid head things like that should never happen, not things like that are always likely to happen so they had better make allowances just in case
there like dogem car drivers these days just put the foot down on the pedal and away you go
the bloody cheeky sod these days use dash cams trying to stitch up other drivers, that incident was one were all that had to be done was for the driver to ease up a bit not go at it flat out and then sounding the horn like some super hero
you would of faled your test doing that on a test route, it doesnt matter what the other driver did or does its what you do about it that counts
being a class 1 driver we have to look after all the other road users. the best drivers in the world look after the others on the road the worse, chase around like headless chickens sounding there horn all day if anyone gets in there way
sell your dash cam and retake your test only when you have learned to drive in a real safe manner, i half expect you to be a class 2 only driver as that would explain a lot to me

Would you care to explain to the rest of us as to what the bit in red means?
Sorry about that, you already have on another thread
