Romanian truck close call

Happened to me this morning. From what I’ve read on here this seems to be happening pretty often.

Had my cruise control on 50mph. I kinda second guessed that he might go for it. Couldn’t move over, then out he came!

loads of time

Are you serious, the poor bloke is driving a left ■■■■■■ and is committed to pulling out while you are way back, it`s foggy and you knew he was on his way, try lifting your foot off or your going to be on the traffic news.

Or, you have got a new camera?

WOW, that was close pal :unamused: :unamused: you had enough time to make a cuppa and roll a ■■■

Is this the future? Every time someone with a dash cam needs to slow down we are going to be subjected to the footage and the outrage?
Lets be honest mate, this was a non event. Its not like he pulled out and you barely missed him. He saw a gap and went. You were well back a bit and he had plenty of time.

How bloody inconsiderate of you, you saw him going a mile away but at no time did you let of and you wonder why we all get a bad name.

You “guessed” he might go for it and still you came on barreling down trying to prove a point? The only point you are proving is that you are a pr!ck.

I bet you didn’t even have your lights on, he never saw you while you had a clear view of what was going on but decided to keep on coming.

wont someone think of the children :unamused:

I’m guessing the lay by had a sign well before it saying lay by ahead so why not just move into lane 2 then or even at 0.06 just in case.As for the lay by check out the amount of room they’ve left to enter it as opposed to exit it.In which case it’s obvious that left hand drive trucks will have a problem at that angle. He’s obviously seen as good a gap as he’s likely to get when he could see it and then gone for it.In which case it is one of those scenarios where the priorities have to be forgotten/reversed. :bulb:

Cyclist logic driving a truck. :smiling_imp:

this is where a bit of consideration and understanding of driving a vehicle with the wheel on the other side goes a long way also.

ask anyone who has driven abroad in a RHD its not a simple to see things as you would expect and its easy to misjudge.

Agree with everyone. The OP had loads of time to react, but just kept going.
Romanian 1.
OP 0.

Wish I’d had a gap as big as that when I pulled out of layby on A12 during rush hour last week.

Another Dash Cam Warrior who got so aroused*** at having something to post on YouTube didn’t realise who was actually the ■■■■. :unamused: :unamused:

***Arousal level higher than normal due to footage capturing an East European.

Only mistake the Romanian made was mistaking you for a fellow pro driver.

So it was you ya sod!! I spilt my coffee AND dropped the baccy out of the ■■■ I was rolling!!

Yet another good reason to slow down in lower than normal visibility and as your by a layby you need to adjust your driving to compensate. No accident and your horn wouldn’t of been heard by anyone except us lot watching this.
Excitement for the day over I need to lay down now…

Shall we open a book on how long it is before the - “How do I delete my account post?” :stuck_out_tongue:
