I have been digging a bit deeper to find more out about Maurice Shelton. apparently he pulled for Brit European / Carman, FrigoScandia and then Rokold. He was originally from Cromford near Matlock but spent time living near Felixstowe. Trading as Sundance Trucking at some time, he too ran a White with our friend Alison as his traveling partner for about 5 years.

I didn’t know him, but have heard many stories from different sources that make them all hold water.

It seems Maurice left the International transport game around 1983 / 5

I have bumped this thread as there has been no mention of Maurice Shelton or Sundance Trucking as yet. I know a friend had found him on facebook

Hi Ian et al, great pic’s lads, happy memories of you lot. You may or may not recall I used to pilot for Simon McCann, John’s lad, we subbed for you when we were quiet normally summertime when Spain & Portugal dried up for a coupla months. It was me who introduced Steve Bell junior to Victors (ah hem), if you recall the craic afterwards you’ll know why I sat ah hem :smiling_imp:

Any pic’s of Villaviciosa or Perafita where we used to load the yoghurts? Many a hangover from the cider bar in Villaviciosa :smiling_imp: but lost all my photos after a cab break in :frowning:
