Driver: Steve Miles
Kevin Holman – is he still with us as I’ve not set eyes on him for nearly/over ten years ■■ Still with Patty (that was his partners name I think) met them a few times in Italy or Spain I think !!

He is and is fit and well as is Pattie and their 11yr old son Guy.
Saw him Xmas time when I popped a card in.
Lovely lovely couple, old family friends. Got me the start on Rokold when I was 21yrs old
Nipper realy pleased to hear about Kevin & Patty – carry this along a bit is he still on the road ?
Great guy-- good singer of C&W if my memory is correct - but you wouldn’t want him answering your phone !!
Young son of 11yrs old – glad to hear it & doesn’t he have another son who is a trucker ?
Hi there , just joined and have been reading through this post .
Brought back lots of great memories.
Worked as a subbie to Rokold in 96 (well with a small Scottish firm that did).
The company i worked with was called Fyne Game , we ran 3 motors all with Rokold at one time.
Delt with a fellow scot in the traffic office , Colin Morrison " Mo" and lad called Joe (Sorry cant remember his second name ), also Dave Cranny (may be spelt wrong).
The two lads i worked with were Campbell “Bud” and Big skinny Andy.
Will post some pics of our motors taken in Rokolds yard (When i find the bloody things ).
Any of u ex Rokold guys remember a couple of mates of mine that were on there, Mick Chatterton & Andy Irving? Andy was an O/D on there with a Globetrotter.

Yeah, I remember. 3 series Scania’s. Is that correct. Dont have any pics . Think I left around the time you were pulling for em.
Mo. Didn’t he end up on Elliott’s of Ayr and P and C Hamilton?
Joe Withers. Cant really remember him , but were having a reunion next month so it may make that easier.

Yep,last saw Mick 3 yrs ago at a reunion. Hope to see him next month at the next one. Good honest guy
In his younger days with hair
Andy. Not seen for about 12 yrs . Last seen in Le Havre when he was on ND. Same, good honest guy. Did plenty of Greece with him. Brought his dad along once and he took the bottom pic
Andy posing on a Greek ferry
L to R
Phil Sutton, Mick, Andy and me . Nafploin quay, Greece
My life, good picture that, Chatty aged 12 with hair! Just been talking to him for last hour, got him out of bed, thats no problem anyway, being an O/D he should not have been there anyway! Andy now driving an exhibition outfit all over Europe, spoke to him last about 6 months ago, he only seems to come U.K. about Xmas time, seems happy though.
nice photos there my mate bought trucktrader into the garage @ the transport firm i was working at in 2004 and there was a f12 globetrotter in there in rokolds colours and he said i bet you`d rather have that than the brand new daf xf spacecab your boss has just ordered to which i said defo, my boss nearly dropped through the floor i think if it had been spotted a couple of weeks before he mite have bought it(not )
I live near a firm called Hoddesdon distrubution who were started up in the 90’s by a fella called Joe Riccotta, who now owns the seriously dodgy firm PCL Transport, just as Rokold were being sold to Wincantons. He bought an FH12 reg A17ROK and a 124 topline reg A9ROK to get started. They kept them about 5 or 6 years before buying new kit and Joe sold them on before selling the whole firm, but the company are still pulling curtainsiders with their 5 version 2 FH’s and XF ssc all in the Rokold livery which they adopted from the ex Rokold motors. Keep your eyes open for them, they’ve just got a couple of new shape Volvos
