We are based in Edinburgh and are looking at taking on a contract hire 26t rigid curtain.
We need a rigid as we have 2 runs a week to a Scottish island.
Ferry fares are too expensive for an artic and the run we have wouldn’t fill one. We need are looking for work to fill up the rest of the week. Most companies like maritime etc only have artic work. Anyone know of contract work for rigids scotland or uk wide?

Try your local pallet network operators, see if they can sub you some work a couple of days a week, although the money may well be crap unless they can give you collections too

Not exactly sure of your full circmstances but would it not be more cost effective to look at subbing out the island delivery to an island based haulier rather than taking on a vehicle you cant fully utillise.
