Hi All , it was great to put faces to some of the names on the net , the show was brilliant thanks to Ashley and the whole team who put it all together, especially Ash who I know worked so hard for this Day !
It was nice to put a face to Jazzandy who we’ve all read his story’s on the Tnet BUT you forgot to bring your drums Jazzandy ! Next time maybe !
Here are a couple of pics of two ex M/E drivers I built models for they both went home with them after the show and thanks to David Miller and Steve Cherrett for letting me hang on to them for the show ! I hope they bring you both some good memories !
Yes, thanks a lot for the show and the middle east exhibition.
Both were pure class and we enjoyed the time and especially the weather again.
The efes was really a little too expensive but drinking it next to all those middle east veterans
it was it worth.
A pity that Mr. Poulton and Mr. Hook couldn’t be seen.
@jimski
i’ve seen your 1/24 artworks but where were you??
great show, well done ash, good to put faces to a few names on here, good to see you again dave, sorry missed you again before you went home. will be uploading my pics within the next couple of days.

Have you any other details about this event please as wasn’t aware before (quite a newbie) but would be interested in going.
Hi,this weekend is the retro truck show at gaydon motor heritage centre in Warwickshire.around two hundred trucks plus? Will be on display from all over the uk,Belgium,France and Germany.on the Saturday is the “separate ticket” only Middle East event.tickets for this are as I understand it,sold out.there is plenty to see and do at the heritage motor centre, junction 12 m40.
Regards andrew.
Hi, thank you for reply, and I’m sorry I missed it, but it was my daughter’s 18th birthday and think I would have been in deep water had I opted for Gaydon, and isn’t it just typical that I will be in Warwicks this weekend instead! Thank you though, and I will look out for the next one.

It looks like it is a longer wheel base than the F88,was this standard WB on the F89 ? or is it my old eyes? I was never rich enough, stupid enough or daft enough to run any F89’s but just an interested observation Cheers Bewick.

Hey, If the 89 was used in GB as in Europ than it will be an 38 as it looks.
It gave them here as 32,34 and 38 the same as the 88, but for britain there was an 88 3,0 too.

Hi Dennis,
I was speaking to the owner of the F89 and he told me Turbo Hoets stretched the chassis for ride comfort purposes …and then Leo Bol stripped the truck bare and restored it over a period of 2 years…nice result.

Hey Dennis thanks maybe it was a Belgian than because they are enough Dutch works to convert it.
