I’ve just found one on the jobcentre site, well actually its been there a while cos it doesn’t really sell itself to well (money)
Was wondering if any of you guys could give me some insight onto recovery work. It is a small local firm and I know they do a lot for the local bus companies. Can anyone give me some idea’s on what to expect if I go for it

called out at any time of day in all weathers
imagine having to get out of a nice warm bed in the middle of winter
to go and drag a car out of a hedge or similar
in the snow/rain/sleet or fog
tacho exempt so can work any hours on call
crap pay
firm i was offerd job with paid no extra for call outs or overtime
paid at same rate all hours worked
if recoverd broken down car having to take it ANYWHERE in the country
crap pay
no social life ( on call 24 hours a day so no drinking )
oh and crap pay

So andy what was the pay like

Got to agree 100% with big andy its a job which entails evry hour of the week no 11 hours off boss, you could have done a 12 hour shift got home and then be called out straight away again , no fun job.
pay was £6 per hour for ALL hours worked
had to provide own tin of polish as well.
