I listen to my own music on my usb stick or audible books.
ive just about given up on it too (cant stand that fatty feltz woman) so when in range i listen to smooth radio ,i burn my own complication cd`s so play them when theres nowt ont radio.
I usually listen to Chris Evans and Ken Bruce, then swap over to either 6 music or 4 extra for the afternoon. Always loved Radcliffe or Maconie when they were on 2, so glad for digital radio in new lorry!
Also have to listen to the Archers - family rip the ■■■■, but I don’t care, when its love, it’s love! I do think Tom Archer needs a bloody good slap though - boring ■■■■■■■ that he is!

The selection of music on 6 Music is fantastic, if you haven’t got a digital radio yet your missing out. My only complaint is that 6 Music playlist changes every two weeks and some brilliant songs disappear never to be heard again. But I do switch over to Radio 2 for pop-master, oh it’s on now…bye

You are joking, right? Popmaster is the most boring/stale format on the radio. It’s so drawn out with the contestants chatting about hobbies and then when they lose, have to say “hello” to anyone and their pets they can think of.
I share the dismay at Vanessa Feltz polluting the airwaves at radio 2 in the delicate hours of the morning but just can’t seem to gel with the turgid,pompous witterings over on rad 4.I know sarah kennedy was becoming a tad scatty towards the end,but by god I don’t think radio has produced a finer female broadcaster than that magnificent lady and I reckon all she needed was a seriously long sabbatical to rejuvenate and look what we have in her place? some dreadful kind of nemesis that needs to be stopped bloody urgently.
I reckon Ken Bruce is the best broadcaster of his generation who handles the music he plays with the reverence it deserves and always seems to me like a man who, despite his warmth and wit,thinks the eighties music scene was some kind of nirvarnic era when we all know it was complete pretentious ■■■■■ by and large.
Can’t take to Mayo,he always seems like a conceited ■■■■■■■■ that sports prat does’t do it for me either,although the business chick Rebecca sounds ■■■■ ■■■■■ and intelligent.
Steve Wright is a brilliant broadcaster and the trio arround him are a force for good but some of the most nauseating ‘music’ tends to appear on his show to a terrifying degree,but when he’s on form he’s ■■■■ good.
I reckon Rick Wakeman would be ideal,maybe replacing that crud Nigel Ogden organ cack with a rock/prog fest as he wonderfully did over on planet rock some time ago,Sacking the brilliant Mike Harding is a major sin and although I like,and hope he triumphs,I dont think Radcliffe can bring the same dignity and gravitas that Harding has contributed these last terriffic years.
Feltz must go though.Let’s club together for a hit man.

Agree with the above except Sara Cox. Can’t stand her, her voice reminds me of the “ladies” (term used loosely) you see in Witney falling out of the Chequers, and mouthing off en route to Chuck Out Chicken.

OK, here we go… I think Feltz is at least tolerable, certainly not enough to make me bother to reach for the dial. I was just glad to get rid of Sarah “cats & pants” Kennedy, when she could be bothered to turn up!
I listen to Radio 2 all day (and all night if I’m out) although the weekends and evenings get a bit dull.
Although I find Vanessa Feltz a bit irritating in the morning with her “potted history” bit and the “word of the day.”

Feltz a bit irritating !! she sends me into a rage I give up with radio 2 and never have it on until it gets a major shake up.
I used to hear the last hour of Alex Lester which I really liked but don’t get chance at all now.

I have up on radio 2 in the summer when I bought a pure highway. It’s been planet rock or real radio xs ever since. Unless the signal is poor then it’s iPod all the way.
I think Danny Baker to replace Steve Wright…getting out dated now with the 3 stooges, and good old Brian Mathews on Saturday mng…he is an institution .
Can"t beat a bit of Radio 2
Just finished a night run , R2 all the way , except between Jo Wyles finishing and Janice Long starting , followed of course by the Dark Lard , LEGEND ! Agreed , the Dark Lard needs more airtime , preferably between 12 and 6.30am…that"ll do

As for R1 …now i know i"m getting old !
I tune to real radio XS Manchester via the internet on my phone
Its 106.1 local to Manchester too
Its very good the dj’s are complete nutters and sail close to wind with their comments
but its good rock music most of the time - does repeat itself though
still better than Feltz at her best lol
