I thought that the Blue Peter dog was called Petra which died after a couple of months. As they didn’t want to upset the kids they secretly replaced it with John Noakes but he was no good at chasing after cars  .

No,the Jungle was between Khartoum and Johannesburg.
I’ve heard of Shap but not that M6,does it go to Wales? Shap was a dog that Elvis sang about - Old Shap.Preston is near Hull isn’t it,there’s a big haulier near there called Potto.

Hi Chris, wasn’t General Gordon Bennet the transport manager at S.O.M. in Khartoum or was that General Haulage  .

It was General Haulage first then Colonel Bogey took over and what a snotty chuff he was.Isn’t Khartoum where the Nile splits into the Blue and White Nile? How does that work out,who seperates the watter into the two colours, unbelievable.
Maybe they put dye in it? :bulb:

That theer dog died 'cos it ran out of petra.

When I get that pic Dave,Dennis will need to have a good teacher.Got to admit that I have had my share over the years, but as Dennis won’t believe me about the Big J 8LXB,we will have to get the proof on here, and then send for the nurse.
Cheers Dave.
