I would say that he was a fool to call for the resignation of someone, without apparently speaking to them and finding out a few basic facts first.
If he wasn’t in such a hurry to gob off, he wouldn’t have needed to back down.
And his “apology” is only a half-arsed one anyone, in which he seems to say that “I know I was wrong, but I still think I am right”.

Maybe not, but now you ask, as a comparison with ‘‘You or any other posters’’ as I have I said, you particularly have proven you are incaable of admitting you are wrong, and thinking everything a certain political party, (or certain TYPE of party) does is right, completely adhering to an official narrative, and defending it to the hilt…politically brainwashed.
In comparison I have voted for parties in the past,.at either end of the political spectrum, left and right, when I have thought on the day that they are right for the country..
I have defended those parties, but at the same time readily condemned them later for certain policies…aka having an open mind.
