No the true refugees in a literal context don’t that is correct.
Also we don’t hear of any refugees, again I mean genuine ones, such as Ukranian refugees causing mayhem, committing crimes,.sexual and otherwise.

That is a characteristic of the influx of young men with third world culture and values who are here primarily for an economic motive, they make a hell of a difference.

Yep we are…but are you actually implying we should build houses for these people,.whilst we have both our own homeless people, and also young working couples on long waiting lists?
The housing shortage should be considered irrelavant in anything pertaining to illegal immigration.

I am taking that out of contect, but in terms of illegal immigration, the lefty lawyers jumping on the lucrative band wagon defending them thus preventing the solving of the problem,.particularly deportation…that statement is a true fact.

Then ‘‘we’’ should draw up a UK version which leans towards and prioritises on our own people’s rights, not every body elses at our own people’s expense and detriment.

Look mate you are on one side if the fence on this,.I am at the direct oppisite side, lets just maintain our present delicate mutual civility by just agreeing to differ…your call.
.

yeah i mentioned that the UK is maybe the only country in the world that people dont have to go through an official passport control or egate to leave the country. you have to give passport details when booking a flight and the airline send that to uk govt electronically and the airline look at your passport at the gate but thats it

he said of course we do and said he’d share a photo of his passport with the exit stamps hes got at Heathrow and Dover so i’ve been winding him up a bit becuase its pretty funny and also its proof that he believes in things that arent real

he never uploaded the photo just made some excuse about not wanting his identity stolen

Jeez I’m finding it hard to read this thread with all this jumping about.
My phone could soon be flying through the air at a rate of knots.:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

I can’t go back any further than 3 orevious posts to read now.

what like brexit was a failure… and immigration isnt real they are all poor migrants and they are all doctors and engineers and women and children?

once and for all… you go to dover you had your pass port over they stamp it/ job done
same at the airport you hand your passport over they either stamp it or put it through the scanner. job done you are logged out of the country.

its what takes the .02 nano seconds at the desk that you remoaners have been crying about for the last 9 years. There is even a thread started to day saying if you leave the country more than three times a year while on benefits the dwp will ask questions. so if they know you left the country you can bet ya bottom dollar everyone else does too.

dont worry your pretty little head though once someone with some balls gets in charge the lefties will go along with the illegals.

I too hope we don’t end name calling.

The “lefty lawyers” aren’t all making a fortune. Defending poor people does not normally pay well. Some do it for free, some are paid by charities, but if someone is coming here hoping that washing cars, or doing nails, is going to make their fortune are not paying much.

The ECHR is there as a backstop to help all UK citizens if and when our own gov does the dirty on it’s own citizens.
You aren’t bothered by a right wing gov? Maybe imagine a Gov with Corbyn and Abbott in No 10 and 11.

!! Damn thread is all over the place !!!
Can’t get back to the post

At Dover the French put a French stamp in a UK passport.
The UK does not stamp UK passports that I have ever seen.

No one is logged out of the UK. No one. Not by the gov. They log people in for many years but never logged them out. I am not at all sure that has changed yet.
Here is the situation a few years ago. Why don't we know how many migrants are entering and leaving the UK? – Full Fact No exit checks.

except it habitually rules against its citizens and forces us to keep scum

again i say to you if i rob a bank should i go to jail.
why then because i have a child or some other cobblers should i be let off

we are far far better off out of it. control our own laws with our own courts.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has played a key role in protecting the rights of British citizens by ensuring the UK government adheres to the European Convention on Human Rights. Here are several notable examples:

1.

Right to a Fair Trial – John Murray v. United Kingdom (1996)

  • Issue: Denial of access to a lawyer for 48 hours during police questioning in Northern Ireland.
  • ECHR ruling: This violated Article 6 (right to a fair trial).
  • Impact: Strengthened legal protections for suspects, ensuring earlier access to legal counsel.

2.

Gay Rights – Dudgeon v. United Kingdom (1981)

  • Issue: Northern Ireland criminalised homosexual acts between consenting adults.
  • ECHR ruling: This violated Article 8 (right to private life).
  • Impact: Paved the way for decriminalisation of homosexuality in Northern Ireland and was a landmark case for LGBTQ+ rights in Europe.

3.

Military Discrimination – Smith and Grady v. United Kingdom (1999)

  • Issue: British Armed Forces discharged individuals for being gay.
  • ECHR ruling: This breached Article 8.
  • Impact: Led to a change in UK military policy, allowing gay and lesbian personnel to serve openly.

4.

Press Freedom – Sunday Times v. United Kingdom (1979)

  • Issue: UK courts banned the Sunday Times from publishing articles on the thalidomide scandal.
  • ECHR ruling: Violation of Article 10 (freedom of expression).
  • Impact: Strengthened protections for investigative journalism in the UK.

5.

Ban on Corporal Punishment – Campbell and Cosans v. United Kingdom (1982)

  • Issue: Scottish parents objected to corporal punishment in state schools.
  • ECHR ruling: Violated Article 2 of Protocol No. 1 (right to education) and Article 9 (freedom of conscience).
  • Impact: Led to eventual UK-wide bans on corporal punishment in schools.

6.

Right to Vote – Hirst v. United Kingdom (No. 2) (2005)

  • Issue: Blanket ban on prisoner voting in the UK.
  • ECHR ruling: Disproportionate and violated Article 3 of Protocol No. 1 (right to free elections).
  • Impact: Although controversial and resisted by UK governments, it sparked debate and eventual limited changes to policy.

7.

Surveillance and Privacy – Big Brother Watch and Others v. United Kingdom (2021)

  • Issue: Mass surveillance programs exposed by Edward Snowden.
  • ECHR ruling: Violated rights to privacy and freedom of expression (Articles 8 and 10).
  • Impact: Pressured the UK to introduce stronger safeguards around surveillance and intelligence gathering.

If I could be arsed to even bother…(as usual I can’t.)
I could supercede what you are trying to convince us (you aint) is positive and that the ECHR is beneficial to us, with many negative examples.

It was drawn up in different times,.and the terms as farcl as I can gather are being abused to a ‘‘lefty advantage’’.

As I have said many times before, the fact that certain types of people speak up for it and champion it tells me it is no good for us…
That and the fact that parties and MPs of whom I favour (term used loosely) tell me it is bad, is enough to consider they may well be right…no.I aint blindly following before anyone jumps in btw,.hence the use of the word '‘consider’ .

As I said a whole new programme should be drawn up.

And some are paid for by us the taxpayers in form of legal aid.far as I can gather.

was an ira terrorist and arrested as such… they interfierd and now we have to treat the scum with kid gloves.

this is a christian country. ■■■■■■ is against the fundamental beliefs. now we are where we are with purple haired idiots waving a flag pretending a man can be a woman.

now they have to spend more money making sure everyones needs are taken care of and again this is a christian country. How many personnel have been rapped and too ashamed to report it. no gays allowed no issue.

yes like that one works… where is the main stream press on all the rapists coming over here… still spouting off about how they are all women and children.

it was banned in state schools at that time not independent schools. independent schools had less discipline issues than state schools. Whats the point of making someone write lines or making a teacher give up their time after school to supervise a detention. just extra cost and a loss of discipline.

break the law and loss your privileges. end of.

now we have a load of terrorists because mi whatever wasnt allowed to watch them because they hadnt blown anything up yet

a rapeist and a drug dealer allowed to stay in the country next door to his victim because he might loose contact with his child

a drug dealer allowed to carry on arrested 5 times because we cant deport him

a rapeist allowed to stay in the country because he would face issues in his own country.

rapeist deliberately spelt wrong to make point clear

Like this…An old passport and the ID number is masked off.

ok i get it you hate gays, you want to beat children, dont care about being able to talk to a lawyer and you dont care about privacy. the last one is funny because youre the one who was too scared to post a picture of the stamps in your passport

here and all over the news

:joy::joy:
Just to stick my beak in on this…

So a guy does not agree with the ECHR.

Thinks it is being exploited by intentional misinterpretation, by being implemented by the Left for it’s own ends, gains, and advantage…
Usually to the detriment of Britain and British people…and usually by foreign lawyers into the bargain.

Knows it has no place in a democratic and (supposedlly) free country, where instead the good of that country is being compromised, and is being virtually and politically shackled to it.

And that list is your interpretation of that?
You missed out the ‘‘Racist’’ bit btw, for those who are against the ECHR preventing the illegal immigration outrage being solved.

So basically Yeah…up there with Starmer and the boys with their default accusations of ‘‘Far Right’’ when somebody disagrees with them and shows an element of resistance.
So nothing new.

Best to include me in that list as I think also the ECHR should be banished and replaced with a UKchr.
But as I have said I take those type of labels and accusations as a ‘‘badge of honour’’ but only when chucked at me from the direction of the left :joy:
And especially when they are usually derisory and preposterous.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

nope just dont think one group should be given special treatment over another. I wouldnt pass the eye sight test to be an airline pilot. not my fault its genetics. should the lives of all the potential passengers be put at risk and should all the airlines spend billions changing their planes so i can fly them. of course not.

a law doesnt stop abusers it just causes issues for everyone else.

not if they are a terrorist no… where is everyone elses human right to not be blown up.

what privacy. if someone is a known terrorist dont you want them watched? go tell that to the families of the victims of 7/7 that were told they knew they were victims but couldnt do anything. oh wait there was a public outcry about that one.

nothing about epping though was there until some leftie got hurt.

nothing about axel nothing about the gillingham guy

I’m interested to hear which ECHR supported fundamental rights you want to do away with?
As already listed the rights to freedom of speech, religion, marriage, safety, freedom from slavery?

So you do not think the rights are wrong? It is another problem? Misinterpretation?
Who misinterprets it? Lawyers and judges?

You think that judges are too left wing?
Maybe they are. Or maybe some are.

Not every decision made by every judge is every case is a good one.
Some laws are sometimes badly used.
That is not a good reason to do away with all laws.

no one has said do away with laws. the objection is that they over rule our courts without the use of common sense as has been repeatedly pointed out. The rights of the individual should never outweigh the rights of everyone else or the victim

every single case has been through a british court with british judges etc. That is enough. we dont need a bunch of foreign judges to interpret our laws. Especially when they are working under the same remit of all the other eu crap that pays lip service to stopping it but in reality does the far side of bugger all about it because they dont want the scum in their countries.

i bet if the poor girl that has been made to carry on living next to her rapeist went to the echr (not that she could) she would be told tough move away from your friends and family its your choice to stay there.

Are ya now ?..
ALL of them !.. in favour of drawing up an alternative system that is not heavily biased towards your beloved left, with all the negativity that brings to the UK and it’s way of life…lets go with having to endure and share the streets with foreign criminals who should be deported for starters.

But I have already stated this countless times, you choose to ignore it to keep hammering home your agenda …so I won’t be repeating myself.

But IS a good reason for doing away with the ECHR and drawing up an updated more fit for purpose system of OUR OWN as opposed to a EUROPEAN one,.especially as we broke ties with Europe after Brexit…(well at least before Starmer raised his ugly head anyway.)
After reading that last line in brackets…rest assured your ECHR is as safe as houses. (For now)

On a different note …Football.
But from a ‘political perspective’.
Not been watching the womens Euros, (and if I have for a couple of minutes, maybe for all the wrong reasons.)

This ‘Taking the Knee’ bull crap (that Starmer incidentally strongly supports…surprise surprise.)
The womens England Team are stopping it and refusing to partake in it any further…not the football btw.

One of the girls Jess Carter, a good player apparentlly is of mixed race.
All through the tournament she has been reportedly getting racist abuse on social kin media by ‘superstars’ hiding behind their keyboards.

I mean ffs…the lass has been honoured chosen for playing for England, that accolade and honour has been now overshadowed and tarnished by these absolute racist arse wipes.
I have no connection to this young lass, but as a parent of girls myself it makes me actually seethe, I want to harm these #### s.:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:…but that is just me.

I can relate to it on a much smaller scale, my own little granddaughter (who has taken after my Mrs ) and was representing England in a dance contest in Spain (had to get that in) coming back with a silver medal.
My Mrs said to me, just imagine if she was mixed race, and it was her getting all that abuse from pond life, how we would feel.

One of the many reasons my ‘Social media’ involvement stops at Trucknet.
