All this protest stuff reflects the mood and the anger of (whether the lefties like it or not) the MAJORITY of people in this country.
I can see it only escalating the more people’s views are ignored by this weak inept govt, but they will continue to deal with it in their pathetic two tier and liberal way by labelling patriotic Brits as ‘Far Right’ to justify themselves.
I have been banging on for months about the dangers faced by women and girls in this country who are looked upon by these illegal scum as free for all fair game…culminating in sexual assaults and r4pes by these young out of control men.
Nothing to with racism all to do with self preservation and respect for our laws and culture from men of a third world culture.
Can anybody tell me what is wrong with adapting to this almost ‘Trump esque’ type of common sense, no nonsence type of policy.
I know you aint being serious mate…I think.
But saying stuff like that just gives the bed wetters ammunition, the ‘‘Nazi’’ big guns suddenlly make an appearance.
I personally wish them no harm despite me hating them for what they do to my country.
Tbh way I see it you can not blame these people taking full.advantage of the comparitively vast incentives offered here over other countries to settle, and the fact they have upped sticks from whatever sh hole they came from.
The problems lie squarely with the ECHR the incentivised lefty lawyers and weak government (s).
As I have said we need a strong no nonsence govt who put their own people and country first, led by a strong no nonsence leader the likes of Trump.
after the first couple of boats they will get the message. they cant be that thick.
yeo and if i was being persecuted through no fault of my own i would go to the nearest safe country with the same values as mine. I would work hard obay all the laws and try and fit in to the best of my ability.
the british immigration system is being used as a holiday now. get a flight to the uk… claim your persecuted then after a months holiday get a free flight back with 5 grand in ya back pocket.
this issue stems right back to the ee’s coming here. doesnt matter if you get in trouble just nip home and get another id and start again.
Of course my passport was inspected. No one is saying otherwise. It was inspected on every entry, but rarely by Gov official on the way out.
That is true both before and after Brexit.
The UK never stamped my UK passport, neither going in nor going out.
Yep me too.
Shoplifting designer gear from high st shops, accosting young under age girls walking past, hanging around schools and assaulting our women does not correlate with the relief and gratitude that I would feel after ‘escaping from a war torn country’'.
Then again I would not be leaving my wife and kids to a presumably (albeit imaginary) invading force’s mercy.
But hey the lefties swallow the b/s that they are checking thinngs out, joining relatives already over here, and their women will be joining them afterwards, so everything’s fine eh?.
Way I see it young men protecting and leaving with their women are refugees.
Those travellling en masse together are an invading force.
It is illegal for asylum seekers to work in the UK.
Most refugees do indeed stay in countries near to their homeland. Turkey has over 3 million refugees, most of them being Syrians.
In spite of the rhetoric they are not “all coming over here”. Most don’t. Most go elsewhere.
@cooper1203 It was in the 1990’s that the UK stopped paper exit checks at the borders. Since then foreign nationals entering the UK have their passports inspected upon arrival but no checks as to when they leave.
Not even after Brexit. Once again more bollox.
When was the last time you left the UK?
Proportionally and comparitively we are a small country, …a small island.
Too many are here now, and they arrive continuously, and more relavantly illegally..
Our infrastructure and facilities can not take much more strain.
That is a logistical fact
Maybe so but it does not stop them…and to reiterate they arrived here illegally.
There is no getting past that fact.
You didn’t true enough. But there is a lot of spin suggesting that the UK proportionately has more asylum seekers.
We are woefully under resourced with housing, etc true.
But we have been for years. We have had govs determined to cut taxes, but do so by underinvesting in what we need.
The number of refugees is not a great part of the predicted population increases and make little overall difference.
For years we have been underinvesting in everything to fund tax cuts. First of all we had the EU as a scapegoat, now we have refugees and the EHCR.
“Leave the EU and all will be well”…it isn’t.
“Leave the ECHR and all will be well” …it won’t be.
Simple solutions to complex problems do not work.
No. It is only illegal entry if they are refused asylum.
For many there is no regular means of entry. That is why they use irregular means.
Yeah…here we go again…
Like it or lump it. (I know which it is) That is the UK law…
Totally agree, massive underinvestment by successive governments, coupled to prioritising the wrong areas have all led us to where we are now.
A simple solution however if you are on a ship that is taking in water is to fix the hole or at least attempt to slow the flow. What you do not do is open the bow doors.
too bad ole starmer got rid of the rwanda scheme huh and scraped the law that said if you enter the country illegally you cant claim asylum. Never mind one out one in will fix it
huh they would of all gone for a darn sight less than its costing to house them as i proved at the time.
to use your analogy starmers idea is to pay hundreds of millions for the thimble, billions keeping the thimble and then when he does get to use it pour the thimble out back into the boat.
