Maybe they knew it was being reported at local press level at first, then ttued a bit of damage limitation before it went viral,.who knows…who cares.
As I said I do not think it would have been dealt with ok, in the way it was afterwards if they had not suspected some bad publicity.
Much of this sort of crap gets under the radar at local level, people are afraid (although I don’t know why) of being branded by racist connotations by thes people, if they speak out.
So debate, disaproval,.and argument is stifled because of it.
Classic (and ultimate) example the country wide Moslem r4pe gang absolute atrocity…that is how far cover ups, appeasement and fear can result.

Other students had english or welsh flags they were made to put them away. The whole thing stinks the quicker we get rid of this sort of cobblers the better all they are doing is making people feel ashamed of their country/ even the god bothers dont believe in inherited sin
thing is most of them dont give a crap about their culture they just use it to get their way. i have lost count the amount of times i have seen people putting on their religious garb to come back into britain. when they are in france or ireland they just wear normal clothing

The point was about our flag, heritage and culture being essentially ‘censored’ as if it was wrong and something to be ashamed of…it is NEITHER.
So to reitetate…the time line of reaching the press or media is irrelavant.
Weren’t you trying to make the point that the apology might not have been made if the article was not in the media?
It looks to me like the school did act ASAP to apologise, to make it clear it was a bad action, and to undertake better training. It looks like it did that before any stories appeared in the press.
I see that a council leader has made representation to the Gov that immigration is now too restrictive. She wants more immigrants let in on visas to work in the care sector.

I thought the government had already done that with a bilateral agreement with Nigeria ,Zimbabwe and Kenya for African care workers to come to the UK to work in nursing and care homes.
There are employment agencies in Kenya,Zimbabwe and Nigeria who get the staff.

no the “school” didnt act appropriately they made the girl sit in the reception area until her father could leave work to come and collect her. When he spoke to her head of year he was brushed off and told to speak to someone else.
One article i read said she was told she shouldnt celebrate her culture as she gets to live it every day. ok then ducky no more scarfs around ya head no more face coverings. no more mosques. if a teacher said that they wouldnt be “spoken to” they would be marched out the door in handcuffs
as you know they arent upto the task so they get shifted on. or they do a runner.
