Coop , good point about the DBS background checks for overseas workers, I’m not sure but the government have made it easy for them with some kind of deal in between the UK and some African countries due to staff shortages in this sector, which is odd as anyone in receipt of the former JSA would have to apply for the job or get their benefits sanctioned or stopped.
shall i post a pic of my passport with the exit stamp when i went to thailand, of course you do. same with the exit stamps from dover.
.double posted
My financial advisor suggested getting the exit stamps to prove how long I was I living abroad to save paying too much tax in tax avoidance which is legal, I had to be so many days out of the UK but this was years ago, I think it was 180 days per year?
the example i gave of arriving on a fri and working on the monday is an accurate one. If they are done at all they must be done in their native countries and we all know how well their record checks go and how honest and above board their government depts are.
One of the ladys that comes out to my mother trains the staff when they start at the company. They follow her around for a few days. quite often she will tell my mother that she will have someone with her on a such and such a day as a new person is starting on that monday. Then when she arrives she is on her own because the person didnt turn up.
moons ago a friend of the family use to work for ibm he bought himself a flash car (lamboghini i think) He didnt pay the sales tax on it because he was a brit and as long as they car wasnt in the uk for more than 2 weeks at a time he wouldnt have to pay import duty. Because he worked abroad alot he used to get his company to buy tickets too and from paris and leave the car there while he was working abroad then drive it back to england.
A British exit stamp?
Yes please
I’ve never seen one of those, that will be interesting
And at Dover there’s only French passport control. At the kiosk you gave your passport to a Frenchman, right? To be stamped into France
not odd at all when you look at what goes on in the job center. Please send me for this shop clerk position restocking the shelves as once im in i can let them know i have this skill set or that skill set (hgv in this case) In the meantime at least i can feed myself and pay my rent and bills. No mr cooper sorry you havent got experience in that even though training is given. or how about please put my name down for any job fairs in the area i can travel aywhere within my county. or the even better one that happened yesterday from a well known supermarket. Sorry mr cooper we cant offer you an interview because you were turned down for one with inthe last 6 months.
In other words sorry mr cooper your a english male with half a brain cell that can wear a pair of trousers compleatly over your backside so bugger off…
dont get me ■■■■■ started.
nope the french are usualy asleep you just drive past them
So who stamped your passport?
Coop, don’t get me going on DWP work coaches , I have fallen out with a few of them for their threatening practices and harassment.
I bought a lorry, didn’t pay the VAT on it as I exported it , the company I purchased it from only wanted the ferry ticket as proof it left the country.
You may remember in the pandemic when airline pilots were laid off when entire fleets of aircraft were parked up so they got their HGV licences to keep a roof over their head.
its amazing whar they can do when the cameras are on them. Read the article its very telling but done in a leftie tree hugging way
Wtf is wrong with you people? Nothing lefty tree hugging about that, it was just a description of what happened on the day
Still waiting for you to show me your British exit stamp from Heathrow Airport you absolute muppet
French police usually follow strict rules that bar them from going into the sea in case they put lives at risk.
they have made it clear to the BBC that police have not adopted any new tactics in dealing with small boat launches, that the rules forbidding intervention in the water remains in place and officers must continue to prioritise safety on the beaches
Well-placed sources in France have told us that the procedural changes now being considered will almost certainly focus on the use of patrol boats at sea to intercept the “taxi-boats” before they’re fully loaded, rather than on approving more aggressive interventions from police on the beaches.
etc etc etc
it goes on to say that over 100 people were stood on the beach in life jackets waiting for a boat while the police stood there picking their nose and the only reason the police went into the water was to save the “children” that were screaming because it was caught in the surf
Well that’s just what happened. They saw an opportunity to stab the boat when it was in the shallows and they took it. It’s hard to see if there were any children in the video but there’s plenty of screaming and shouting
This was around 12 years ago so by now the military must have a smaller more easily portable and longer range derivative.
What…
I met a few they were also delivering from my local curry shop
Dig in lads…there’s plenty more from where that came…and it’s all free.
Talking to my mate who used to do security for these characters…on leave from stopping pirates.
He told me the gangs, (you know the ones…the gangs that Starmer is going to smash) were advertising on FB like some kind of holiday brochure…
‘Come to England, free board, food, medical and dental services, pocket money and activities included’…
