Poor Kemi Badenoch made an unforced error in PMQs yesterday.
Starmer commented that the Gov were putting new scanners into two hospitals in Badenoch’s constituency. She relished pointing out to him that there was only one hospital in her constituency.
“Maybe he knows something I don’t?” she laughed.
Red face for Starmer? Did he mean that it was 2 machines in the only hospital there? Did he count a hospital somewhere else?
What error did he make?
If anyone cares to check for themselves, Badenoch has Saffron Walden Community Hospital, and Broomfield Hospital on her patch.
Is this all over the press as they laugh at her? Nah, of course not.
Abbott makes a mess-up over figures for police pay and that is dragged up for years. Badenoch proves incapable of counting up to two, and …nowt.

lets have a look shall we. do you know why the broomfield is considered nhs. because a small part of it is affiliated to an nhs hospital. How do i know this because i had my lumbar microdiscectomy trust me it wasnt free. Want another example… the royal brompton on the fulham rd is affiliated with st thomas and guys but is not nhs dont believe me go watch the bbc drama this is going to hurt the main character did a stint there
Is Badenoch’s error the end of the world? No it isn’t.
But the attention it has in the media is in vast difference to the stumbling of others who are not friends of the media owners.
I know exactly how many hospitals there are in my home constituency and in a neighbouring one. I don’t need to “consult my notes” to add up to 3.
When Brexit is no longer relevant I will stop talking about it.
This week negotiations were going on about the border in Gib. That is a direct result of Brexit and Johnson’s deal.
Anyone would think that some here were not happy about Brexit? That they wanted to hush up their hero’s achievements?

because it is a private hospital. it says it is nhs because it takes serious cancer paitients from st thomas and guys so has to display the nhs logo. if you actualy paid attention when you were 6 years olf and learned to read you would of got that from the first post on the topic.

Private hospitals that provide NHS services are required to display the NHS logo to clearly indicate that they are delivering an NHS-funded service, meeting NHS quality standards, and to ensure transparency for patients.
so as i said so what if she forgot broomfield it is a private hospital and questions should be asked as to why nhs resources are going there.

Are these bonafide 'expenses btw in the true definition of the word ..or a calculated amount, in other words did they actually SPEND claimed amount?..I doubt it.

Starmer had to talk to Spain because the Johnson 2020 Brexit agreement was up for renegotiation.
Therefore Brexit was relevant to the discussion.
The Broomfield says it is managed by an NHS trust. How can it possibly be private if the NHS manage it?
I believe their version of who they are, rather more than your version of who they are.
If you show me where they say they are a private hospital who sometimes work for the NHS that would be interesting.
