Political discussions...

lol lol lol, more twists than a Swiss mountain road, everything is Bojos fault :joy::joy::joy: yeah we get that. Conveniently ignoring the latest incumbents input. Who’d have thunked it?

I do admire your resilience though Frangers, perhaps the organisers of next years Grand National would benefit from your supplier of choice of blinkers?

Of course it was a disaster. It was destined to be in a government peopled by those who share your naive views

So what has Starmer changed?
What is “his input” on the fishing agreement?

Err his input perhaps? His limp lettuce submission to anything EU perhaps?

Yeah it was a crap deal, so why extend it further?

It was a disaster because it was a set of hopes and dreams, it was not any sort of rational plan at all. Just a rant about how the EU would kow-tow to plucky Blighty because they needed us more than we needed them.
“Fog in the Channel, Europe is isolated!”

It was all about the birds in the bush. Not about the bird in our hand,
The hundreds of birds of birds in an imaginary bush, the other side of the unicorn field, just over rainbow!

The Gov that made the deal was elected in 2019 with a big majority, and any old Tories who were anti Brexit had been excised from the candidate list.

Because in negotiations you win some things and concede other things?
Negotiations are not based on
“I am British. How much are you going to give me?”
Although Cabinet Minister (never elected by anyone, ever) Frost did take that attitude in the negotiations.

You see this is the thing. If you are playing poker and had the best hand in the history of poker and recognised the fact, why on earth would you fold? Because of our unique climate the waters off Britain contain one of the richest and most diverse (I’m struggling for the word here) collections of fish on earth.

They are British territorial waters so why would we even grant access to a single foreign registered fishing vessel? We are playing with a winning hand, tell the EU that they’re not welcome in our waters and prepare to defend that. I know that fighting for our country’s rights seems distasteful to you, but this is bigger and far more important than your feelings. Trust me.

You really are a bit slow to grap things…maybe it aint an act after all..
How many more times?
I’ll remind you…

I looked around with my own eyes, saw no bodies stacked up, all the emergency field hospitals empty, only people who were dying had low immune systems…underlying health issues etc.
So either we were being conned or someone was being a bit too careful and got his calculations wrong,.and the govt was telling us to put our lives on hold, and the servile and the gullible (you) swallowed the lot…
You need to trawl through your covid thread mate, I have said this countless times.

And btw… me an expert?..nah.
Says the political.farming.and fisherMEN expert no less.:joy:
Not a clue what you are slavering on about ‘Murdoch’…weren’t he in the A Team?.

A load of John Smiths from Tadcaster…
Cheers for that.

@Maoster
You see this is why I do not let him lead me into (another) Brexit debate.
He feigns miscomprehension to set a trap, to land what he sees as a ‘killer blow’ of superior knowledge as he sees it…obviously will deny it.

Or in this case a bit of ‘poetic prose’ that he has penned…all this type of crap is important to him.

Got to say though his latest offering needs a bit of work, …he’s STILL using the ’ Unicorn’ thing ffs.
As a poet he’s more like Cantona and his seagulls than Wordsworth and his daffs.:joy:

If Starmer HAD to use fishing rights as a bargaining tool of sorts, he should have used them as some kind of threat in conjunction with the French sending over and helping the scroungers in their dinghies, instead of preventing them from coming here.

However he would never want to upset Macron who I suspect is laughing his knob off at us…(as well as the rest of the Western World..)

Especially as Macron has had a problem with a Starmer sized flea sniffing around his arse lately…cringeworthy.

That’s because you’re a imbecile

Very harsh…:joy:
Even I haven’t called him that.

Newsflash, you cancelling your Xmas party and family get togethers made zero difference to the eventual outcome of whatever happened to those people you refer to.

There was no reason that 99.9% of people should not have been working in factories, supermarkets, offices, schools etc as normal during 2020 & 2021. We all knew it at the time with the fake propaganda & scaremongering that was being pumped out by the MSM. Only those naïve easily led people with the blinkers on   took all the crap in that was being fed to them.

If you have been backed into a corner with no way out on the point you are arguing for then just blame Boris.

Initially MSM quoted we gave 400 million big one’s to France, this must have changed as a minister said 540 million, for what, nobody really knows, there’s only so many pairs of binoculars they can buy for that.

On the tv documentary about the activities on the beach when the police showed up late on purpose, it was too late, at least 6 dinghies had departed.

I did observe some really expensive looking quad bikes the UK tax payers paid for and a few 4x4 vehicles.

Some would say we have contributed to their next knees up Christmas party but we are not invited.

The police can’t get in the water as the tv journalist said it could cause panic and drowning to our cross channel hopping friends.

When waiting to embark the ferry at Dieppe I would always see spotters on top of the cliff overlooking the ferry terminal, they would only show up when the douane or the gendarmerie were inside the freight terminal to carry out random checks on vehicles and trailers.

That sounds remarkably like the pre-Brexit rhetoric. “We hold all the cards. They need us more than we need them. Etc”
That was a load of bollox.

If we were to stop all EU access maybe the EU would stop importing UK fish?
Do you realise that the UK earnt £1.7billion in fish exports?
How good is it to catch more fish, and sell less?

I doubt that outside of Hollywood it will go from trade talks to a shooting war that quickly.

Victoria Derbyshire put the Tories and most of the Tory leaning UK press in their box.
A clip is here on the Mas Robespierre channel.
Listen to Max or not at your choice but Ms Derbyshire is on form.

So no change for the fishing industry. A continuation when they wanted better.

But a better deal according to:
Federation of small Businesses
Confederation of British Industry
British Chambers of Commerce
Food and drink Federation
Salmon Scotland
UK Hospitality
Supermarkets
British Meat Packers

So on balance?

Is Franglais not getting a mention?

From here it all looks so clear doesn’t it?
We were all being played by the MSM !
It was all a plot by the MSM owners (the wealthy in the west) to close factories, and to make the factory owners poorer (the wealthy in the west).
Indeed clever stuff.

At the same time, rather than take advantage of this extremely clever ploy in the west, the Chinese closed much of their own production too.

Putain of course was an exception, as he knew there was no real danger.
