The rooms had beds in not bunks…they would not accept bunks anyway, the fortnight before they were actually on the hotel roof protesting about conditions…I kid you not ! 
As for food…none of yer hotel kitchen staff food, oh no these young guys are very discerning diners, .outside contractors, catering for hell al or whatever tf the call it.
if it was up to me it would be basic bread and water…pr enough basic sustinence to survive.
While our pensioners struggle to make ends meet, and the homeless guys 50 yds up the road, some ex servicemen, have to fend for themselves on pickings eh?

That a broadcaster, producing content across radio, tv and written word on many subjects, will make mistakes, lots of mistakes, is pretty much a given. Especially as you point out it has been in action for decades.
That the BBC looks at itself and tries to improve is a good thing.
Is it the best? ie the most unbiased? I don’t know. Maybe not.

You can argue all you want about official definitions but they are still living a life of FREE luxury that we are paying for.
I’m sure those men who’ve been to war and found themselves homeless or the pensioners who’ve contributed their whole lives and have this winter been scared to put their heating on would be very grateful for a fraction of what we are giving these illegal scroungers!

Thing is I remember over the years many times in both UK and European cities, booking into twin rooms with twin beds,.even family rooms both twin beds and a couple of beds with kids…sharing with mates.2 and 4 to 5 at a room…to save a bit of cash.
And in a 4star hotel…

The establishment I was in was a HOTEL it even has the word ‘HOTEL’ in it’s name.
So to clarify I saw a HOTEL with beds.
