Police doing another worthwhile job

.

robroy:
Ok, it’s another ‘Rob knocks the Police’ thread, but so [zb] what?
I would not do it if it was not valid and justified.

In the time of an unprecedented virus outbreak where the Police should be at least overseeing that the lockdown rules are being adhered to in order to curb the spread,.and in a County wher it has been reported that 75/80% of crime goes undetected, the same county where you can go out and see scrotes freely dealing drugs on the local car park, because the old Police Station has gone…
THIS is how they are spending part of their valuable time with their famous ‘limited resources’ that are said to be the fault of not turning up to crime scenes.
Enjoy… :unamused:

You would think at least they would have the tact and diplomacy to wait until all this present crap is over, before they made a point of dealing with such a triviality, thus bringing ridicule down upon themselves, surely there are hundreds of issues that would be in the queue before all this …again money making ■■■■■■■■. :unamused:

Sorry, it really shows your ignorance to policing are the RPU, there sole job is road policing then assist local units as and when needed.

Vehicle pulled, for failing to display a correct registration plate, could lead to a wanted person on bail, or a licence recall, etc, might have committed a burglary… fact remains just because of this covid 19, doesn’t mean that crime stops … just because you might have a hate of police , they are paid to enforce road rules and regulations as well as well as other crimes. Or would you rather the, fine a parent for exercising the child.

Well thanks for clearing that up.
I’ve changed my mind now and my opinions on the Police thanks to you. :sunglasses:
I can now sleep at night in my bunk whilst I’m getting my fuel nicked, and my load tampered with safe in the knowledge that the patrol cars are clamping down on dodgy number plates to catch these perpetrators…

Btw …please excuse my ‘ignorance to policing’ btw, what was I thinking.
:unamused:

Its pure and simply a fact of targeting the easy jobs. that allows them to drive around the rest of the time like starsky and hutch doing nothing. It also boosts the crimes prevented numbers come tax hike time so the gov and tax payer don’t question too much.

The other day I was driving to work at 3.30 am and got stopped to see why I was in another town. Fair enough if one ignores the easy target scenario. However, that’s kind of impossible to do as I had passed 14 other cars driving out of town one of which was doing approx 20 mph in a 40 with his left hand indicator going which the cop car only over took to follow me. To deal with that one would probably mean having to deal with a drunk and take him to the cells and all the associated paperwork.

Easy to understand why coppers go after motorists.

You can keep blaming the police for all criminal problems, employers making drivers sleep in a pay by or industrial estate etc, look it’s not the drivers fault, and I know your completely right that services are not much better… maybe it’s time that is made law that trucks are legally blind to park in secured premises, ie, park up in a RDC or a place with 24 hours access etc … if your getting your fuel nicked, maybe there should be an app for drivers for drivers to report fuel thefts to collate information for drivers to avoid them areas. The onus is also on drivers to avoid potential sites… or don’t stress if the owner wants you to risk losses.

After all, stopping the vehicle with the “dodgy” plate, could be the guy who made off with your TV under his arm you never know.

I don’t ‘blame’ the Police for all criminal problems, but I reckon I am justified criticising their tactics of easy target policing rather than real substance policing that basically everybody would prefer.
As for parking, I think of the time when I parked on Ferrybridge ind est across from the MSA, (choice btw not forced into it) my tilt trailer had been tampered with, the back flap was open, tailboard down, and a couple of boxes tampered with (nothing valuable) I went into the MSA over the other side of the A1 for a coffee and toilets, , and there was about a dozen Police cars on there checking cards.

The time when my 17 year old boy in his first car driving through our town. was assaulted through his open driver side window, at a t.junction he sped off, to get away and was pulled 50 yds away by the Police for having a noisy exhaust.

Always plenty of resources for ‘Operation this that or the ■■■■ other’ when pulling trucks in to check their pallets of cardboard are strapped up, but no resources to specifically patrol well known truck crime hot spots.

Look I don’t hate the Police, it’s just this sort of thing that ■■■■■■ me off about them, but it appears that I’m in a minority on here, and that’s ok, but we could argue about this all day, but nothing ever changes.

It ended up in the attic and I claimed off the insurance for it.

We moan at the police being “over-zealous” one minute, and yet isn’t a big crackdown on actual criminals exactly what Law and Order Right-Wingers want to see on the streets nowadays■■?

We would be clapping the police if we saw them dragging fuel thieves, shoplifters, tax evaders, vandals, marauding drunks, and ethnic rather than “only white” paedo suspects off into the vans eh?

Alas, as Farage says “What a complete waste of Money!”

If this does not illustrate Police popularity, especially in this unique situation nothing does.

We have had some stellar examples (high profile and both have been posted on this site) of our wonderful police recently too.

What about the hero who waded into a few lads over a quad bike in Yorkshire, threatened to make a false charge up whilst being filmed  Full on rocket scientist :unamused: And this new hero in the midlands punching and kicking a 15 year old lad? No wonder there is zero respect for our deeply flawed police service.

Just come back form Tesco at Goole and Bill & Ben in the X5 are zapping away at Brighouse again on the 62. Battering children, making up false charges and screwing folk who are keeping us going…

With reference to the You Tube video with the lad protesting about the police camera van in the lay by , the problem is members of the public may have complained to the police about boy racers and drivers taking advantage of the quieter roads to hit 120 mph or more , there have been numerous recent cases of excessive speed .

If the police aren’t seen to be taking action , then they get moaned at .
Where I live , I have seen appalling driving and speeding , even though I can’t measure their speed , still not sure why so many drivers of all types of vehicles refusing to wear seat belts .

I saw a car with what look like steel pipes or poles on the roof , two bits of rope , with excess length in front and at the rear and the back wheel arches touching the tyres with god knows what was weighing him down in the boot .
Waste of time calling the old bill .Until he brakes hard and shot his load .

So, using your logic, that means all truck drivers are ■■■■■■■■■ and law breakers because a few get done for drink/drug driving.

Every job has its share of Muppets, it’s not fair tarnishing the majority for the actions of an idiotic minority.

I’m confused now.

It is a universally acknowledged fact that Stobart drivers are bridge bashing yes men, working 15 hour days, with a Santa Claus fetish .

The mighty Rodent, known for his titanium spine, space hopper sized glands, and love of mediocre overpriced coffee, is now a Stobart driver.

Has the Rodent lost his steel? Or are Stobart drivers now no longer bashing bridges and earing pot noodles in laybys?

If my version of “Conspiracy Theory” is close to the truth - then the police know damned well that “nothing will happen to you, health-wise” if you go back to normal.

The people most likely to continue staying at home - are those getting paid to be there.

Who’s that again? :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

The road on that video (Ampthill area?) seems pretty busy to the point of “normal traffic” to me.

The police are not needing to “Protect the public from Coronavirus” since it is all over-blown, and has been all along.
They are there to skim a few quid off passing motorists…

I couldn’t find the other trvid of him trying to get the cops to bust the paedo molesting his daughter at centerparcs - but ended up arresting him instead.
Plenty of vids of him ranting whilst under arrest though… Distorted picture, as always.
