Good point mate. Just seen 2 plod stood on the pedestrian bridge next to the Keele services crossover bridge pointing their peg guns at traffic on the North bound carriageway. Get that cashola steaming into the pot lads…
Where would we indeed be without these sublime officers during lock down…
You & John Rambling Rambo need to be careful banging on that police fan drum mate, might injure your hand and be a further burden on the NHS.

Possibly… the rest of us being left with higher insurance premiums due to the big payouts that the insurance companies have to make to sort out the inevitable (expensive) problems caused by the selfish speeders that many other posters have commented on. When the selfish speeders cause loss/damage/injury etc, somebody has to pick up that bill.
Not many people realise that the whole cost of such lunacy ISN’T covered by the resultant increase in the selfish speeder’s next renewal, so who covers the rest of the money the insurers pay out to innocent victims?

Bill & Ben in the X5 are zapping away at Brighouse again on the 62.
Where exactly was this? Asking for a friend.
The only pointless thing here,is the pointless moaning of the op
Police doing there job, rubbish’personalised’ illegally spaced reg plates, yeah stop n fine them, bet they find plenty other illegalities associated with these cars/occupants,get the chip off your shoulder, did a Bobby tell you off for pinching sweety’s as a kid?

A rather naive post from you Dave. You are implying that insurance premiums would reduce to some much lower arbitrary figure if no-one ever speeded or causes loss/damage/injury. That is just nonsense. If you’ve ever had any dealings with an insurance company over the past decade+ with regards a claim, they do everything they can to increase the cost, not reduce it, by ignoring any dashcam evidence showing quite clearly who the at-fault party was and doing everything in their power to send you down the route of their accident management company to make essentially fraudulent claims for unecessary car hire and non-injuries.
Those poor, cash-strapped insurance companies, eh? /s

101mph and another at 126mph they’ve zapped people doing in Staffordshire today.
Fair play to them, keep up the good work.
Ah well 3rd page and I still need to reiterate for the hard of thinking the point, and the principle of my ‘pointless post’.
So here goes…
Although I used the number plate thing as a specific entity, and a specific example as such, it was the bigger picture that I was trying (unsuccessfully as it turned out) for people to see.
So…
The point of my post was to illustrate how the Police have time to concentrate with great gusto on relatively unimportant things, and to make it worse in an area of the country where it has been pointed out officially that 75% of all real crime goes on undetected and unhindered,.
But after taking that on board, the Police can still spend time that could be used more productively and more publicly welcome on trivial unimportant ■■■■ things.
I could quite have easily used Policing cyclists who have no rear reflectors as an example, … in fact if that gets my point across better, I might just do that.
I thank you.

Robroy you are wasting your time. Most forums these days are full of police “if you’ve done nothing wrong” worshippers. This one is no different. Any suggestion of police incompetence, hypocrisy or selective policing instantly get jumped upon with accusations of “there is clearly more to the story than what you’re telling us” or you are anti-police, anti-authority etc. Any wrongdoing by the police is always an “isolated case” and “they make mistakes just like the rest of us”, whilst completely ignoring the point(s) that these “mistakes” and selective policing actually happen all day, every day.
If you want to see some real police double standards and we-make-the-rules-up-as-we-go, subscribe to the Crimebodge youtube channel.

Yep, I’ve got to agree.
Maybe I come across as some kind of Police hater, I ain’t, seriously, it just grinds my gears when I see them as you say, ‘selective policing’ on very easy targets.
I was just talking to a guy today, his lad who was doing well at school, and who he had high hopes for, has got in with the wrong crowd, and this dodgy local crew have been supplying these kids with drugs.
The guy ain’t a British national,.and maybe not too streetwise as to the ways of this country, so he did what he thought was the right thing, and reported these scummers to the Police, and is consequently getting bricks through windows, and his car vandalised…the Police say there is nothing they can do unless they catch them at it…no chance, he says they are never seen in his area to do so.
This is the type of stuff that should be prioritised on not stuff that nobody (except the Police) give a ■■■■ about.
I’ll check that channel out btw, …although it may make me worse.

They punch and kick kids now mate. Keep up at the back…

We have had some stellar examples (high profile and both have been posted on this site) of our wonderful police recently too.
What about the hero who waded into a few lads over a quad bike in Yorkshire, threatened to make a false charge up whilst being filmed
Full on rocket scientist
And this new hero in the midlands punching and kicking a 15 year old lad? No wonder there is zero respect for our deeply flawed police service.
Just come back form Tesco at Goole and Bill & Ben in the X5 are zapping away at Brighouse again on the 62. Battering children, making up false charges and screwing folk who are keeping us going…
I’m confused now.
It is a universally acknowledged fact that Stobart drivers are bridge bashing yes men, working 15 hour days, with a Santa Claus fetish .
The mighty Rodent, known for his titanium spine, space hopper sized glands, and love of mediocre overpriced coffee, is now a Stobart driver.
Has the Rodent lost his steel? Or are Stobart drivers now no longer bashing bridges and earing pot noodles in laybys?
No need for confusion Brother, if I was on general for the green dream, or working for someone like Keedwell’s (or any other crap firms based on my own personal experience),you may have had a point, but I’m not.
So you don’t
Anyway, you were last seen booting teddy’s around an overturned pram. Thought you had gone

Thing is though Dave, these two fabulous officers could have been wandering around towns & parks raising revenue by dispersing/fining multiple knobs who are not obeying the lockdown and risking lives.
Instead of secreting themselves very cleverly so that the Keele services footbridge hides them from view as they practice being plod snipers on the pedestrian bridge just behind it (North bound)
As for insurance companies, they are as big a bunch of slippery snivelling corporate cack as you choose to imagine. I agree with R420 on that point.

Agreed!!
Perhaps the police could have split their scarce resources, so that they’d covered the risk to the overburdened NHS from both selfish (arrogant and thoughtless) speedsters AND the risk to the overburdened NHS from selfish (arrogant and thoughtless) knobs that you identified.

I agree with you and R420, but in addition, I think they’re a bit worse than that for their sneaky lack of transparency.

I like the cut of your jib David. One plod zapping with his Nerf gun while the other get’s his pushrod robbed by the Pakistan reserve cricket team. A sort of ‘split strategy’.
This is why you are a mod and I’m a pre-mod

Everywhere has has it’s fair share of numpties (minority) but this forum seems to have been dealt more than it’s fair share.
