Is that before or after at least 8 - thats 8 of them turn up at local Tescos to do there shopping at around 0230hrs■■? (Various Tescos seen it happen at 2 Tescos in Norfolk (Thetford and Dereham) as well as in Yorkshire at various outlets) Shame they didnt see the funny side that I pointed out perhaps instead of dialling 999 in an emergency I should call Tescos and ask for a shoppers announcement to be made! Out of curiouauty when they visit Tescos do they get staff discount?

So buying something for your meal break isn’t shopping? Do you not find it funny that so many turn up their at the same time. No here’s a better example, 0300hrs last Friday morning I rounded the corner onto my street at 20mph to see a police car parked up, I drove down the length of my street noticing that the police car had started to follow me. At this point I was outside my house so before attempting to reverse onto my drive I put my left hand indicator on, said police car pulled up at the side of me and asked what I was doing. At this I replied it had got nothing to do with him but that I was about to reverse onto my drive once he had moved. At this point he informed me that he had pulled me due to having a licence plate light out and before I used the car again on a public highway I needed to get it changed. I said thankyou but my car’s on board computer told me if any bulbs were out which they weren’t but I said I’d check anyway. Off they went I pulled onto my drive, got out of the car and surprise surprise said light wasn’t out. At this point cop car coming back down road so I flagged him down and told him to get out of his car and show me which light was out. He did this and surprise surprise couldn’t show me. At this point I asked why his force had not answered an email we had sent the month previously about our street being used as a racetrack at 7-9pm and that we never saw any police patrols at that time (our front window is right on the street so we see everything. He muttered something about looking into it and then proceeded to tell me that there had been fuel thefts on our street. Really I replied well the copper that lives next door has never mentioned it and nor has any other member of the street which I talk to regularly whilst out walking dog, washing car etc. At this point said ■■■■■■■■■■■ got in his poxy patrol car and Foxtrot Oscared. And you want me to believe you lot are professional - behave yourself were you bullied at school?
^ similar ,was driving home from work in my (own) van ,3 am ish and was followed by a patrol car, fair enough,white van driving through the less salubrious part of town in the early hours.i indicated and turned into our courtyard (i live in a flat) ,car blocks entrance and policewoman jumps out and almost gets herself knocked over running at me as i reversed into my (allocated) parking place. they did the usual ,where,what why?? routine ,apologised for taking my time and left. it was probably my fault for turning in before the anp check came back
I didn’t intend to contribute on this thread again as it was turning into a slanging match, between on one side a guy who was either a fantasist or worse an actual copper who wasn’t intelligent enough to see that he wasn’t doing himself or the Police any favours, and on the other side drivers, including me that were just encouraging him, but I don’t get the last 2 posts that are knocking the Police for showing a presence that would only have the effect of deterring potential crime ,I would be glad to hear that they were down my street at 3am checking out passing cars when I was away, and my wife and kids were on their own, they can’t do right with some it seems.

I cannot find the link but wasn’t there a forum where some gents tools were stolen and they had stopped the vehicle in the early hours and recovered the goods and arrested the offender. All this was due to being stopped to find out what they were up to.
It appears as though us lorry drivers dont like this scumbag either. Thanks for his phone number, that will be finding its way onto the back of every public toilet between lands end and London.

no problem with them showing a presence,my point was the way the policewoman jumped out of the car and ran at me, i couldnt go anywhere ,even if i had wanted to ,the police car was blocking the entrance/exit, the daft bat almost got herself run over!! i was full left lock and looking in my mirror to reverse into a allocated parking place on private property in the middle of the night when she appeared from nowhere banging on the side of my van!! i nearly ■■■■ meself
