Police Crackdown

robroy:
I didn’t intend to contribute on this thread again as it was turning into a slanging match, between on one side a guy who was either a fantasist or worse an actual copper who wasn’t intelligent enough to see that he wasn’t doing himself or the Police any favours, and on the other side drivers, including me :unamused: that were just encouraging him, but I don’t get the last 2 posts that are knocking the Police for showing a presence that would only have the effect of deterring potential crime :open_mouth: ,I would be glad to hear that they were down my street at 3am checking out passing cars when I was away, and my wife and kids were on their own, they can’t do right with some it seems.

And the important bit of my post is following just to see why I have a problem:-

At this point I asked why his force had not answered an email we had sent the month previously about our street being used as a racetrack at 7-9pm and that we never saw any police patrols at that time (our front window is right on the street so we see everything. He muttered something about looking into it and then proceeded to tell me that there had been fuel thefts on our street. Really I replied well the copper that lives next door has never mentioned it and nor has any other member of the street which I talk to regularly whilst out walking dog, washing car etc

So yes I do have a problem when I drive down my street at 20mph and pull up outside my own house which looks suspicious how especially after they would have done a check on my vehicle■■?

How do you know they checked your vehicle?

Well if they didn’t check my vehiclethat would explain that bit fair comment, then why in over a month haven’t they got back over our issues raised hardly the crime capital of the world round here maybe comments like “it will take someone to be killed on your street before any action is taken” said to my wife and I by a female police officer have just got our backs up or maybe the fact that they are a load of overpaid useless so and so s who are spineless, ill educated, bullied at school, chip on shoulder cretins who knows and to be honest who cares rant over!

I know what you mean, and how you feel. Have you spoken to your MP?
