Anyway, the answer is b. Insp Andy Bentley.

You’ve surprised me RoadsRat. I’ve gone from thinking you might be genuine pork to then thinking there’s no way you’re genuine pork and now I’m back to thinking you might very well be genuine pork again.

For the benefit of everybody else, Inspector Bentley is indeed the correct answer.

I’m still not totally convinced though. You’re like a poor quality sausage to me at the moment; about 50% pork.

He is easy to find on a google search
I still call a 14/15 year old having a laugh.

I’ve just tested your theory and the answer only comes up when you search for "Inspector Andy Bentley. You actually need to know the answer to start with. :unamused:

Besides, I have no connection to CMPG anyway.

Ah, so he is.

I guess that renders that test null and void then.

It only comes up in google if you search for his name. You’d need to know the name first. :unamused:

It hadn’t gone to plan for you, has it?

dozy:
The zb (community copper) who lived across the road from mev :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: would never switch off, even on his days off his curtains would be twitching,he’d go walking the streets on a evening checking his zb neighbours tax discs(his mrs wondered why no-one would attend her parties/they’d never get a invite to neighbours),road rat ain’t a copper,he wouldn’t be wasting his spare time on here when there’s a chance he could boost his figures up out there :unamused: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

That’s a very big brush you’re tarring everyone with. :unamused:

mick you full of [zb].
They have brainwashed you to believe you will never lose an argument & you will always be right. You lost the debate when you resorted to name calling & personal attacks. It worked when you had the blue stuff on but in the real world you have to face the fact that you are a sad uneducated small minded [zb]( without a uniform)

Well Harry, seems you are rather partial to dishing out personal attacks.

Re the uneducated point. With respect, your grammar isn’t top notch.

The grammar was deliberately simplified so that Scotland Yard would understand it, but the dogmatic way you read record & contest every point on this thread worries me. Definitely not winning hearts & minds.Put on your size 10’s along with your jacket & hat & get down the crossing ,kids 'll soon be going to school.Remember you don’t get paid for posting on here.Maybe you wanted to test the water? now you know… v.cold!
I expect you are sharpening your indelible pencil & will be replying in triplicate?

Yes, of course it was. :unamused:

Did your mum help you type the above response out?

Roadsprat;is that your best?

Hi Roadsrat, I think i’m right in thinking you served at some point in the Forces. Just to confirm you are not a 14 year old troll ( ), i’d like to ask you two technical questions…

You’ll have to excuse RoadsRat, as much as he’d like to answer your questions, unfortunately he’s unable to do so right now because he’s been called to a serious RTA and needs to go and lord it over people at the scene for a bit…

…either that or Google’s not working.

Hi Roadsrat, I think i’m right in thinking you served at some point in the Forces. Just to confirm you are not a 14 year old troll ( ), i’d like to ask you two technical questions:

  1. On the SA 80, there is somewhere on it a small plastic flap incorporating a spring. What is this called and what is it for?

  2. If I said to you that I had found too much “gunge” somewhere, what might I be referring to?

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not playing these pointless games. :unamused:

The answers are available online so the usual suspects will say it proves nothing.

I’m not going to provide any more correct answers just for you to trot out the google line yet again.

I’ve just checked and those questions can be answered in 2 minutes via a google search.

Proves one thing tho? you are unemployed!

Topic is getting a bit silly now!

Agreed roadsrat if you are a copper or not i couldn’t care less however before comming onto another professions forum and having a dig at all on here take a look at your own profession. How many bent coppers are there one is retiring today so he can’t be diciplined for his part in the hacking investigation. You are a public servant in a democracy where you police with the people’s consent and trust. Which currently is at an all time low due to recent criminal activity by the police this is far more damaging for society than a man on his mobile. Here is a suggestion get your own house in order before having a go at other professions, when a year passes that a copper has not been done for racism, bullying or getting away with killing a newspaper salesman then come back and slag us off however I doubt that such a year will exist

I never came here to slag anyone off or have a dig. I received the knobbish remarks and comments.

I’d appreciate the some courtesy.

I for one will sleep safe in bed knowing people have been reprimanded for not wearing a seatbelt. If they want to be splattered over the road in an acident they deserve to pay for the privelige.
So what about stabbings muggings and general anti social behaviour these people will only jump bail or pay fines from there giro at 50p a week.
This makes a terrible mess of the graphs and figures

I think the problem is is that there are only a finite number of officers available per force area, and the public would rather have them focused on preventing and investigating major crimes such as mugging old ladies, armed robberies and dealing with persistant scumbags thieving our homes. I know using a phone on the move could lead to an accident, but I think people would rather them catch a violent mugger etc where someone will definately be hurt .

I suppose this is out of roadrat’s control but certainly the higher echelon’s of the police are subject to a lot of political control; dealing with ASBO scumbag’s and other undesirables doesn’t do much for the target’s.

In one police force area, 600 miles of motorway is patrolled by only 12 officers per shift. Do the sums and you’ll that realise just how thin the cover is. Only takes a couple of patrols to be ■■■■■■■ on a job and you’ve got a long wait for backup.

Any anger about “minor” seat belt offences should be directed at the government. They are the ones pushing for a clampdown on traffic offences. Feel free to contact your police commissioner you elected to office if you feel that angered about it.

Let’s also not forget one obvious point. Roads Policing officers deal with, you guessed it, traffic offences. This talk that they should be catching murders and rapists is just nonsense.

I agree, and struggle to see how, logically, wagon drivers without seatbelts would warrant such a high profile “operation”. Unless of course you wish to be “seen” tackling everyones favourite whipping boy, in the act of trying to kill other motorists.

Like I said, at best it’s a publicity stunt. It goes much deeper than this though, imho, as yet another “Big Brother” psy-op, a cultural change for the worse. We’re in charge, do as we tell you, keep looking over your shoulder, etc.

The tail is very much wagging the dog nowadays, with increasing numbers of sociopathic brain donors in uniform. It only needs a twisted ladder climber at the top and the “Yes men” underneath will willingly carry out ever more ridiculous acts of authoritarian behaviour.

Remember, we pay their wages, they are our servants. It’s that bloody simple. Seems they neglect to point this out at Hendon nowadays. :imp:

Read the article again. It said “The aim was to detect and record traffic offences, particularly those that can distract drivers.”

As a consequence of that “operation”, 128 idiots were caught wearing no seatbelt. Were the police just supposed to ignore it? Turn a blind eye? They didn’t purposely set out to target non compliance of seatbelts.

Had those 128 drivers took 5 seconds to put their seatbelt on, there would be no headline. The only ones to blame are the truck drivers.

It’s called enforcing the law. No one is above the law. Just police officers doing their jobs. You should be aiming your displeasure at your colleagues stupid enough to be caught.

Or should truck drivers be allowed to pick and choose which laws they obey?

Goaty:

“ridiculous acts of authoritarian behaviour.”? You mean enforcing the laws which truck drivers fail to obey?

The only ones at fault are those caught breaking the laws.

Not every police officer attends Hendon. :unamused:

They also pay taxes and pay their own wages btw.

Well apparently police officers are scum and gay. They are also thick and brainless despite the literacy, numeracy and information handling entry exams.

Truck drivers on the other hand are all Oxford and Cambridge graduates with a first class honours degree in every subject. Although their profession requires no formal entry requirements.

RoadsRat:

It depends upon how you measure thick and brainless. I suspect members of the public who come across officers who cannot deal with a situation other than to follow procedure, needs to check etc…i.e can’t just deal with stuff then yes they can think of them as thick and brainless, even though they’re academically inclined. A lot of academics do not have great people skills, there’s nothing wrong with that and many Police officers seem to fall into that category. Hence the joke on peoples dumbness “computer says no”. That typifies a copper.

It actually appears so. Most of them have actually seen through the ruse of being caught breaking the law and recocnised it for what it really is, a excersise in revenue raising for Government under the guise of doing it for their saftey. Uneducated people i.e people who are taught what to think, insead of how to think would probably just stick to the line that the Police are catching lawbreakers.
