Please STFU on things you know nothing about:-

You have never driven an HGV onto a ferry to mainland Europe (or probably never done a proper day’s work)

Many of us here have not only regularly used ferries with our wagons, BUT also are/were skilled Seafarers/Officers/Captains before driving wagons into Europe.

Ferries also take those other things called cars and I’ve used more ferries in that regard from the North Sea routes to Scandinavia before they were closed down and the Italian Islands and the Adriatic to Yugoslavia than you would even know existed.

Wowsers, that’s some ego. So, you used some ferries, of course you know more than a European lorry driving actual former seaman. Come on Carry that’s comical even by your daft standards.

Carryfast has more experience signing on and claiming disability then you do, yet when you had your accident and had to wait for your licence back I remember you dismissing his views on the matter with the same patronizing tone.

That being said, CF doesnt need to drive a truck on a ferry to give his opinion.

The same former seaman who tried to turn the whole thing into a pro EU anti Brexit rant.
When in this case experience of using Sealink and TT ferries before EU membership and having a reasonable understanding of union rights at that time helps. At this point the RMT would have called a national rail strike in sympathy then and have had the right and unity to do so.
How old were you then.
Bearing in mind that P and O seems to be taking advantage of cheap East Euro probably EU labour in this case.

Did I? Where? He made claims about my personal circumstances, I corrected him.

And to add I have more experience of losing a licence on health grounds. He gave his up from what I can gather. Better luck next time

Absolutely, you used ferries therefore you clearly are the forum expert. I’m now imagining how even more insufferable you’d be had your career gone the way you want and you actually had some experience .

Obviously only using ferries with a truck and bonus points if previous seafaring career history can be shown, provides sufficient ‘experience’ to re write history.
To show that we had more trade union rights under EEC/EU member status, as opposed to before we’d joined it.

To be fair you don’t seem to see a lack of experience as any reason to hold you back from rewriting huge swathes of history so I’d say you’re level at best. That’s one area you are the undoubted champion- the forum fantasist.

.
Now let’s see you back your claims by denying what I’ve said.
More union rights before we joined the EEC/EU than after Europhile Thatcher’s union rights bonfire yes or no ?.
As in could RMT have legally called a national rail strike in sympathy action then that it couldn’t do after her union ‘reforms’.

I was just taking the ■■■■ out of your monumental ego

So which of us is re writing history by suggesting that the EU is the panacea and the solution to race to the bottom free markets and lack of union strength which we’ve increasingly had since1973.Obviously not me.

I have been lucky enough to see CF on his way to the ferry

I don’t think either of them have the power to stop anyone else replying to the thread however they choose, either on or off topic. Perhaps there’s nothing left to say about P&O?

Other than the fact that younger generations bought the government’s union militancy is bad free markets are good narrative.
This is the result.

P&O Ferries ship detained over crew training concerns bbc.co.uk/news/business-60881550

Seeing the queues of lorries on the M20 this afternoon held up by P&O’s actions, there must be many hundreds if not thousands of lorry drivers who would like to see Hubbletwister’s face altered permanently so he is reminded every morning of what he has done.
