The irony moaning about the ferry carve up when the RMT actually wants to send all the traffic by train through the Channel Tunnel.

well theres a simple answer to all of this .
Passenger and Freight ferries that operate in and out of UK ports should be registered in the UK and wherever they sail to -Ireland , France ,Holland and Spain. Then this couldnt happen , crews (no matter the nationality ) would come under UK law, working conditions and wages . Its time to close these loopholes and level up the playing field all thats lacking it would seem is a government with a set to stand up and do the right thing .
