Our New Toy - V8 R-730

A bit OT but what’s the empty weight on the Krone fridge trailers? With or without side doors?

The Ekeri fridges with side doors we a running with self steering last axle + a 6x2 v8 scania are pushing close to 21t empty, of course thats with chains and spare wheels but. The best thing with small companies like Ekeri they are not denying problems and not the stupid electrical design used on mass produced trailers were the cables are connected with small pins on another cable.

Not too sure of the weight of the Krone trailer itself, but empty in a MAN TGX with full tanks and standard 2 x barn door trailer (no internal doors) I tare off at around 17200kg. Which is comparable to the Montracons we also run.

Must be just under 9t then.

Mr. White I saw one of your trucks today. On road 44 here in Norway. May I ask where it was going? Prima Jæren maybe? No?

Yes… On Route to Prima !!

Well spotted.

Saw your white scania on the m40 and m25 last week

Have there been any more new toy’s arriving recently? Ive had the pleasure of spotting quite a mixed bag of White’s trucks over the last few weeks, Always immaculate, cracking looking, even the less sparkly XF’s always look the part, from a truck enthusiast, keep up the good work, a credit to you and your driver’s, and, good to see a firm that gives a hoot about its image and its drivers.

I think he’s had the cheque book out more than enough recently… It’s rest time…

Ran out of Money… LOL

Thanks for the nice Comments. We (Ray, Myself & The Drivers) put a lot of effort it to keeping them clean & up together !!!

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, but twin wheel tags are just gorgeous!

Really is a lot better colour than its previous owner, no offence

Ive got a matching set of curtains for that fantastic looking beastie, shame they say daf on the tie backs… and the pelmet…Never Mind…

Ohh, that ex Davie Malcolm looks amazing, love the colour, I like the twin wheeled tag, looks so much better than the single wheeled ones.

You just need a beveled mirror plate chasis infil on the catwalk with hinged covers for the fill up holes & you be job done!
