Sooty drives it… Great bloke with looking after a truck.

How does your 730 / 620s compare with the DAFs fuel wise? I passed a daf this week and are only 460s aren’t they? (sorry if there not) Suppose bigger engines are better on the European work with mountains etc.? Bet there’s some competition between drivers and fuel figures at your place :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah yes.
I get to all the exotic locations, but I don’t like to show off:-)

We have 4 x 460’s & 1 x 510… All pretty poor on fuel to be honest. Between 7 & 8 mpg.

The 2 new 2013 R620 Scania’s we have just put on the road are not even run in yet and are doing 9mpg. I can post the Scania reports for any of the doubters out there)

But we don’t run at 44T (6x2) or 40T (4x2) very often. Our export Fully Loaded would only be 34T approx. We are heavy sometime when we reload from Europe, Fruit, Yogurt, Cheese etc etc, the fuel returns drop a little then.

I would like to think our fleet average is maybe 8.5mpg…

The big V8’s maintain the speed on the hills instead of dropping down the box and this helps at lot on Fuel and the extra KM’s you can cover each day !!

Worst picture in the history of cell phone photography, but anyways: SPOTTED right before Moi, Norway!

WWW your driver shipped in through Portsmouth Friday morning [today] as I did just wondered if he was pulled by Vosa who were there or did he see any other Brits.
being pulled for a check, would be interested to know since something happened involving myself I thought strange.
