It is very satisfying as a boss to give a driver a new truck and watch him look after it and keep it immaculate inside and out, some of my drivers are so clean when they take a weeks holiday I will park the truck up for the week.
I do have to admit at least this thread good value for money, even ‘Rim-Job Monthly’ won’t give you 23 pages of mutual arse licking.

If you find the subject so ridiculous, why lower yourself to write your drivvel on it!! Whats so wrong with a boss buying decent equipment for his drivers & those drivers looking after it in return, I don’t polish the wheels on my truck but see nothing wrong with others doing it & just because ‘it’s not for you’ doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
Therefor, I think it’s you that needs to “get a life” & stop being jealous of people who either; a, drive the kind of truck or b, do the kind of job you’d like to do!!!

Rim job Monthly! Is this publication widely available? Will my newsagent stock this? Is it available to download? Do it include handy “how to” tips? Why haven’t I heard of this publication before? Do they require older models? So many questions, so little time!
The way I see it, this thread is divided into two camps, those who have admiration for Ray and Pete, and those who are jealous of Ray and Pete. I’m firmly in the former camp. Good luck to you lads

Ok, hang on a minute, I’ve only just made it up so details are scant. Given the nature of this thread I’m prepared to offer a free wallet on a chain to anyone taking out an annual sunscription - word of warning though, it’s not about wheels being polished.

I thought the way it worked was someone posts something like…look at my new truck its quite fancy etc…and people who like that sort of thing say yeah thats great, i like them or what ever. You seem to think it works like, or should work like someone posts…look at my new truck its quite fancy etc…and then we should all post …yeah , its ■■■■. Volvos are better, why do you buy fancy crap, whats with all the bling, or just about any old crap. Here’s a suggestion for you, if you don’t like his new toy, if you think its 23 pages of mutual arse licking then stick with your subscribtion to Rim-Job Monthly.
Pete you mentioned in the thread about trying the new merc on demo has this already been done and if so whats the opinion ? heard mixed verdicts from others who have had the 450 on demo
Am more confused why Ray wants a motorhome to drive he can sleep in a tin box all week and get some work done but chooses to take the motorhome to sleep in a tin box must be bonkers but then again am sure he will be first to admit that one

The Actros Demo was in a accident a few weeks ago, Was meant to have it delivered today !!!
That’s a shame about Davie Malcolm, always ran tidy kit and used to find it odd whenever you’d see them pulling a 40 foot trailer with the wheels near the back end.
What’s the point of the twin wheeled tag though or is it double drive that you can lift the rear axle? I don’t get it, is it just for axle load weights then? Didn’t know you could spec that.

Does that make me a bad person that I laughed at that?

They are 45ft trailers, but DM had them made with spread axles and a rear steer for better stability with hanging meat. And I think you can get a higher axle weight when they are spread.
Almost 32000 views so far. If Robson and Jerome got this many, They’d be at number 28.

Twin wheeled tag helped to spread the weight a little better especially when on loose or tricky ground, as your giving a wider footprint.
Other than that I just think they look great, like a double drive when the axles down. To me single wheel tags look a bit out of proportion, unless a super single is used on the steer and tag axle.
Ok lads, makes sense now. Know what you mean about single wheel tags looking a bit Jeremy Beadle.
