Id rather drive a axor , v8 730 dont really matter much it still only does 56mph and it only hauls 38ton unless there is a dinky axle hidden behind that skirt
But this ray fella obviously has money to burn either he subsidises it all or he has found some sort of secret that nobody else knows.
Must admit that is one nice looking lorry. All the lights seem to blend in rather well.WWW-when it’s resting, any chance of some interior shots.I would so like to experience it for myself, but the control centre is too far to the left for my liking

I think it is a “canny” buy, as he wouldn’t have paid full list price for it as it is secondhand and will probably have no problem selling it on in a few years time at a premium as some still rate V8s, so his whole life costs are probably comparable with lower powered 4x2s.
Stick a half decent driver in it and he will no doubt get half decent full returns and judging by the fact it is a left ■■■■■■ and it says “international” on the trailer and with large tanks, he is not likely to be buying much diesel at £1.459 a litre
So apart from a few extra light bulbs the numbers start to make some sense
As for the Axor this must be worst tractor unit on the market at present, even a CF is a major improvement.

Yeah but why let cold hard facts get in the way of those who come here with not a notion to slag off a man who has been in business for 30 + years - there would be no posts here otherwise .
discoman:
Not disputing the fact the bloke has been working his [zb] off for 35 years and good luck to the owner.
end of the day it is a truck it is there to earn a crust simple, I would rather of spent that profit on making my business better.
As a owner if I could of paid my drivers say an extra 20p an hour or run that I would rather pay my drivers more to get a better staff less turn over etc.
+1
Hope you all remember this little toy he has bought himself next time you ask him for a pay rise!

Maybe he’s happy with his drivers, maybe his drivers are happy with him. It’s all just pointless speculation. If the man wants to buy that why not? He earns his money just like you or I. It’s just I, and maybe you, can’t afford an R730. My Dad works out of meat factory that they do a lot of work from and he says their drivers have no complaints.
I speak to their drivers regularly & one thing they don’t do is complain about the money. And about 30 (ish) mile away is mortimers on £68 a day so I would think they are quite happy.
Personally I think it’s nice to see a haulier having a bit of fun instead of the usual drab accountant choice motors. Good luck to him.
WWW That is one lush looking truck. As previously mentioned it looks the nads without being in your face and ultimately tacky.
Having been passed by numerous of your trucks, all of which appear to be well looked after, clean and driven well, I can only think the R730 will fit in well.
The fact your other trucks are clean and not covered in crap, speaks volumes about drivers thoughts to management and the company.
You want to buy a truck like that then fair play to you…Isnt 5th April the end of the tax year?
Seriously thou mate, I wish you the very best for yourself and the firm mate!!
WOW, that’s a real beauty, nice one.
I hope your success continues, it’s great to hear a ‘small’ company doing so well. Hope your Boss takes it easy and enjoys his well earned time off.
