Our New Toy - V8 R-730

I can’t see what all the moaning is about f**k me sideways if they earn enough to purchase such motors then you should give them a pat on the back you would be moaning if was hammering prices down on jobs now your complaing because they are able to purchase decent outfits .

I think its fantastic to see a family run outfit doing well in such times and that they look after there drivers and supply them with decent motors and am sure in return drivers look after there kit , look after your motor you will be next in line for the new arival , instead knock your merc axor about leave it for next driver to whipe all your tea/coffee of the steering wheel you will be sure in line for the next s**t axor coming through the gates .

A company that does not require drivers and has long serving drivers says wounders about a company , yes some will work for £2.00ph just for a flash motor not everyone will

I wish you all the best with the new additions to the fleet always nice to see a well presented setup and nice to talk with some drivers who aint moody gits because they drive cr@p for cr@p wages only ever spoke to one of there drivers and was not a moaning sod like most of the stuck up sods you come across in RDC’s this day and age .

now send me my application form

In all this nobody has mentioned the trailers that RW’s have. All high spec stuff and worth more than an Axor. I bet the guys keep the trailers looking as good too.

25 Chereau Hanging Meat Railers !! - We do a lot of change overs. If I could keep the same trailer behind the same truck all the time they would be as clean as the trucks. Some trailers may get passed about 4 or 5 times in a week if we have got a Long Run that needs to go non stop.

We have just placed an order for 5 new Railers to be delivered at the end of the summer. Chereau Again

Have you seen the 730 ex demo at bellshill Scania. It was at Gaydon last year, it pulled the tea trailer. Would look good with Ray White on the front…

It will have soon…

WWW was that you in Brakes at Chelmsford on Tuesday morning in the white Scania?

It was one of mine. M99WTS - White 2008 V8 620 Scania

I don’t post on here all too often, I imagine the inside of a hot air balloon to be a similar environment to here sometimes!

That said, it takes something relevant to what I do or something bloody interesting to get me to type. The latter applies here. I have seen your wagons around in the ten years I have been driving and always admired there presentation. No ott paint jobs, just high spec, modestly customised and very well turned out. As father and son and as your drivers you must all keep a great team together, from what you have written here and the more physical side of the company I see on the tarmac, Whites look and sound like a top firm. I have also seen your trailers on the bay at Dubia up at Llanybidder, I pass by almost weekly taking hay from Wiltshire up to a place north of Telsarn.
I’ll never drive an R730, bet my bottom dollar I won’t drive any V8 to be honest! I have ‘Scania blood’ as they have been my main ride since going on the road, beside the odd DAF, Volvo, MAN, Renault, Peterbilt and Freightliner. I can only admire as I poke about in an '03 420 Topline 4x2 on own account haulage for a firm I work for. She’s a tidy old girl with only 675kms on the clock and some weeks doesn’t leave the yard. The firms money is in selling gear, not owning it so this one will stay till it is sold for top whack to go abroad!!

Anyway, interesting topic. Thanks for the info and stuff you write on here and the photos you put up, its appreciated.

Your welcome.

Thanks. Pete

Nice admiration thread

Like PSV’s comments, etc.

Anyway, do any of your big toys venture to my part of the woods? Might look out for one in between keeping one eye on me Speedo.

WhiteWhiteWhite:
I will never use foreign drivers.

As much as I admire your sentiment, I wouldn’t say such things on the web. You never know who’s watching these days. Refusing foreign drivers is probably racist, even if they smash your 730 up :grimacing:

Nice trucks though pal, your company looks top notch.

Really nice fleet, the new motors look stunning. Sounds like a great place to work tbh!

I can’t see the picture is it the black amber 6x2 or the red 4x2?

Refusing foreign drivers is probably racist,

Why is it ? Surely he can employ who he ■■■■ well likes and if he prefers a British person then so be it. If i got married again i’d prefer to marry a British woman so does that make me a racist ?

You’re reading me wrong. I’m saying the authorities would deem it racist, you know what they’re like. Put an advert on the job centre saying “No Poles” and see what happens.

I agree with him, I wouldn’t employ (or marry) them either.

Why ■■ to both questions…

Red 4x2

They want £138k for the Black Amber… I’ll wait till it comes down in price a bit 1st. I did make an offer for it that was well over £100k but it was refused.

Can’t win em all…

When do you want me to start??

You can employ anyone you like, of course you cant say its because their a pole or whatever you just say you dont think their suited to the position.

That was the fella. Spookily enough I was reading this precise thread when he pulled in! I did wander over for a chat but he’d gone off to the butty bar 'cos I was on the bay tipping. Nice looking motor though, understated but classy.

Tried it a few years ago. Total disaster. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. Call me what you like, But when you can take the cream of the best drivers out there, there is no need to employ Poles etc etc… Although Give them credit, they are persistant, and their English is getting better… lol
