Jesus are you that simple I have to spell it out in big letters for you?

Yes im that simple, you are my idol and at somepoint I hope to attain your level of lifestyle and leather seat workplace.

Jesus, you must be a reincarnation of my old headmaster :open_mouth:

Struggle to understand him too then I take it

Yer missing an ‘o’ there sor.

Edit, no you’ve put it in now.

If he’s pinching diesel,he’s a thief. I would tell the boss. When I was TM at a firm, one of the drivers was pinching diesel, the boss knew, but wouldn’t sack him ,because in his words
" he’s a good worker ". Bloody thief.

Sor?

Anybody who has knowledge of any crime committed within society and does nothing is only contributing to the downward slide of social values and in my opinion is little better than the offender.
To state that any action taken depends how much the third party is paid in this exact case makes that individual unemployable in my eyes and I would sack all those with knowledge of the situation, one way or another.

Like Switchlogic said. He could be working for a complete [zb] that’s been nicking his wages. So the “thief” could simply be taking back what’s rightfully his.
possession of fuel in lieu of wages maybe.

I used to top the car up every month, The boss just knocked it off my wages minus the VAT and before tax. He often forgot, But i would remind him as he was a sound bloke.
I wouldn’t bite off the hand that feeds me, But i’d bite it off if he ripped me off.

So every time you see someone drop litter, speed, jump a light, use a phone while driving and so on and so forth you ring the police? You may want to live in a society where everyone spy’s on each other trying to catch people out but I dont. I’m sure you’d make a great employer, so sad that you wouldn’t employ me. No Puntabrava Cow Insemination Industries for me then. :frowning:

Oh, I didn’t realise it involved humans inseminating them. Best of luck with that old bean. I’m sure you know what you’re doing

So. if you knew one of the boys in your firm were having away with a can or two of diesel a week would you tell your boss ■■

Sacked a load of poles a while ago for thieving large amounts of diesel at our depot,at least 1 is now back on agency :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: .
Don’t seem much point in reporting it does it :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: ,such a song and dance over it,now there desperate for drivers,it doesn’t matter :unamused:

For you to sit and call somebody ‘simple’ and insinuate they practice ■■■■■■■■■■ is rather wide of the forum rules as I read them. Also, if I belong to a forum I feel I have the right to reply to posts that I disagree with without being insulted as a forum member.

I viewed your post on this thread as stating you would say nothing to your employers about anyone stealing from them if you felt the wages were not appropriate to your perceived ability level and if the company had peed you off in some way other than pay scale wise. Is this correct?
Please also take on board the fact that I was employing people when I was 19 years of age, I have managed to buy a few houses and paid a sibling out on the family farm.
What have you managed so far in life apart from landing a job with a large displacement engine?

2 Jerry cans is 10 gallons or £60. £60 a week is £3120 a year or a month and a halfs wages for a driver.

Its not peanuts.

switchlogic:
Here we go then for the simpletons, if as an employer you look after me, with decent pay and decent attitude I will do everything I can to assist you. Treat me like crap and pay me poorly and I will NEVER steal from you but nor will I police your company for you. I will come in, do my work, go home, nothing more, nothing less. Simple. NOWHERE in my original post did it say I condone theft, or that I would do it myself. What it did say, very clearly, was if an employer wants loyalty they need to give it back.

Yes you did, the part where you said you knew but you’d say and do nothing. If a haulage company has 5 drivers, the cost of one driver stealing 2 jerry cans of diesel a week is enough to have paid for a 2% wage rise for all of the drivers.

As above, maybe the employer can not pay a higher wage to the employees because his fuel bill is crippling him, who says just one driver is nicking fuel so x it by however many

once upon a time, I went for a pint in a southern suburb of Manchester! on the other side of the road was a fight and a man stabbed another man to death! :imp: unfortunately for a man called ( police witness/ grass ) he was spotted by said man with the knife in his hand :smiling_imp: three hours later on Trafford park ( near bowlers, big roundabout ) said police/ grass had his head blown off with a shotgun! unfortunately for the man with the knife in his hand, and the man who pulled the trigger! He didn’t know me as I’d been away in the paras! :sunglasses: did I grass him up? :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: who knows? I hate grasses, but he’s still inside 20 years later for a double murder! :grimacing: people will MURDER people for grassing up here in Manchester! So think carefully before YOU GRASS!

Let’s assume for a moment that you work at Tosco/Sains/Asda etc…

You feel a bit aggrieved your pay isn’t what you think it should be, so you start helping yourself to whisky in order to flog on for a few extra quid every week.

Do you think that’s OK, and would you report it if you saw someone else doing it?

And, do you think Tosco would prosecute you if you were caught?

This thread has only one correct answer. Unless you’re a thief. :sunglasses:

Truthfully, and I used to drink down the dock road in Liverpool I told them to ■■■■ off …I usually only had enough money to get ratted anyway  but seriously I have never knowingly bought knock off stuff since seeing my Dad near kill someone who was foolish enough to try and burgle our house.
No I have never “grassed” anyone up but neither have I or will I be on the arse end of some scum’s thieving if I can help it.

I may retract that, I caught a scrote looking into the car windows in a car park where I worked years ago (you could see where he wiped the condensation away from almost every car drivers window) I got a shunter and told him what I saw and we ran and got to the car park (one car smashed window) I found the scum in long grass dragged him out, turned out to be nettles and he looked like the elephant man  I held him against a wall and asked this (fist in face) or Police, he asked for the police. Turns out the little ■■■■ was in court the next day anyway for other robberies…yer I grassed the ■■■■■■ up to the police, but I did give him a choice

DONT employ drivers who own diesel cars
