a firm i worked for quite a few years back were so easy going it would have been pretty easy to nick diesel in small amounts.no one did steal any apart from one prick who hadnt been there long and was nicking ten gallons a [zb] day and selling it to the scrapyard round the corner!!
he soon got caught .■■■■■■.
they used to give me a fiesta van and pay for the diesel and i had a fifty mile each way commute from north herts to heston, middlesex. why bite the hand that feeds you?

If there’s 1 doing it, who know there maybe other in the yard doing it too, which can soon add up to a significant loss.
Him stealing diesel today, may mean that tomorrow your on the dole because the boss can`t make enough profit to run the business and closes it down.
So ask yourself, if you had the choice …would you rather it be you on the dole without a job or him??
Sums it up really.
I just couldn’t stand knowing I was a “thief” I am a bit old fashioned though.
Depends how I felt about the company. If they treated us well and didn’t screw us for every last penny then yes, Id have no problem telling the boss. However if they were a bunch of aholes that treat drivers like s… and rip them off by screwing wages down at every chance as so many do then no, sod the boss, I’d turn a blind eye. You scratch my back I’ll scratch yours. Way too many employers miss a simple fact- you have to earn loyalty, people don’t dish it out for free.

Me too. Where I work at the moment, I’d dob him in without even thinking about it.

^^^^^ This by a country mile,well said.
Is an arse of a post. He is saying that if the wages are not up to his ideal it is fine to steal.

Didnt actually say anything of the sort though did I? But then you are one of those that regularly have problems understanding things, so no surprise there.

Really■■? I never deemed it as such but each to their own I suppose…

Yes, I always fail to understand forum members who post words in a certain formation but think they have said something else.
Here we go then for the simpletons, if as an employer you look after me, with decent pay and decent attitude I will do everything I can to assist you. Treat me like crap and pay me poorly and I will NEVER steal from you but nor will I police your company for you. I will come in, do my work, go home, nothing more, nothing less. Simple. NOWHERE in my original post did it say I condone theft, or that I would do it myself. What it did say, very clearly, was if an employer wants loyalty they need to give it back.
