Quit driving lorries, you’re clearly not cut out for it. Seriously dozy I think its time for you to find something else completely different to do for a living that doesn’t involve driving lorries. You seem to have a problem with just about every single part of the job.[/quotagreed
dozy:
Has anyone ever suffered with it , I’m getting worse , spend all my time looking in mirrors thinking has it moved , pulling in checking straps all the time , I thought I’d get used to it in time , but getting more paranoid by the day , don’t fill comfortable at all, frightens me really , keep thinking if that slab of concrete falls off that frame it will kill someone .
I guess you can only try something different to know , but feel much more relaxed with something enclosed in box , taut , coke , w powder etc behind me .
Well if thats what your hauling then no wonder your stressed! You’ll get 15 years if you get caught
Just try and stay calm. Don’t rush yourself and don’t let anyone put intolerable pressure on you. A lot of people only make mistakes when someone else is pushing them too far.
This is a definition of bullying:
Bullying may be characterised as offensive, intimidating, malicious or insulting behaviour, an abuse or misuse of power through means intended to undermine, humiliate, denigrate or injure the recipient.
So if a planner starts ‘bullying’ you tell them what to do.
One more bit of advice if an post starts with a dig at you just ignore it.
Leave dozy alone, crack on driver…[emoji16]

You can quote it, but you’ll never be able to prove it.
And even then, it wouldn’t be productive…
Sad but true!
if your worried about the load shifting and coming off, then possibly a move to driving a gritter wouldn’t be advisable…

Agreed, I think dozy is a nice guy under a lot of stress and pressure that he doesn’t know or isn’t equipped to handle!
As such it’s got the better of him, he’s unaware of how stressed he is, and he’s now making silly mistakes he otherwise wouldn’t.
But you’re a ■■■■…
The bullying thing was from a few years ago a transport clerk had a right go at me in front of drivers at another depot. He’s got a mouth on him and was quite threatening. I wasn’t scared of him but didn’t rise to the bait. He was also in the wrong about the matter. I mentioned it to a friend at my own depot who took it upon himself to report it and whilst I didn’t get an apology the man certainly spoke to me better in future.
This man is a genius, he puts out the bait and most of us fall for it, and that’s ok, why because it makes good reading and it gives a lot of the people who cant dress themselves in the morning a chance to make a comment thinking they are replying to a genuine post, I would say he gets great crack and a great laugh out of the so called drivers who thinks he needs there advice. The mind boggles at the level of intelligence here.

A bit over the top Einstein, what I would say is that dozy would be able to dress himself in the morning and that goes a long way In my book
Dozy, I wouldn’t bother going back to hauling coke, and powder mate.
It sounds to me that you need to sample those items.
Chill Brother.

What your experiencing is not unusual.
However the level at which your experiencing it maybe, the brain is a funny thing and there could be other elements in your life that are triggering this.
My experience with pyschiatrists is limited even though im their ■■■■■■■■■ with my MPD, but just talking about it is good and the important first step.
Tell me do you have ■■■■■■ thoughts that you find disturbing, if so please go into as much detail as you can.
But perhaps its just confidence, if you have confidence in your securing technique and drive in a smooth relaxed manner stopping regular to check the load you will be fine. Sometimes overworrying about something can be enough of a distration to make the worst happen.
I suspect you pull off a lot (I know I do), to inspect your load only to find the straps are just as tight as when you started. Its an illusion of paranoia but that doesnt mean folks aint out to get ya.
I suffered similar the other day when I was thinking to myself ‘dont go soft, please dont go soft’ and it went soft and I had to stop return to foreplay and start all over again.
In the end we are our own worse enemies so relax have confidence in yourself dont overthink things and jobs a good un.
i find some of the replies a tragedy.
Dozy - i am not sure how i can help but feel free to PM me anyway.
DD. I can no longer have a cup of tea in my hand when I read your posts mate.
Wrong job you are in. PMSL.(Again).

The fact that you use the ‘‘dress yourself’’ b/s in every post is not annoying at all mate.

We’re all disappointed…
I forgot this forum is full of driving gods who are perfect. The lad seems to be going thru a hard time at work and at home give him a bit of support. Take the ■■■■ as usual but don’t drive him into the ground with it.
