I dont usually comment on this part o the forum…but Dozy if you aint comfortable …its time tae change job it will start to eat you up …problem sleeping ,falling out wae friends and if it gets bad you might flip out on somebody,not joking bud it eats away at your confidence until you blow a fuse! I saw it happen to a great friend and tried to get him out o the slump he was in …drinks,nights out wae the boys etc he ended up in a hospital as it got to much for him,he tried to strangle someone at his work that pushed him to far… :neutral_face: :blush: jimmy

i was just like that in my previous job before i started driving in my new job now i sleep without waking up 3-4 times a night and feel so much more relaxed and calmer next to nothing makes me want to hurt someone now

Is this not maybe that now with a flat carrying concrete slabs you can see the load, whereas before with a curtainsider or boxvan you had no idea what was going on inside so never thought about it? I used to carry concrete purlins sometimes four or five layers high, and rafters in the days when we only used rope to hold that sort of load on. It worried me that something was either going to fall off or come hurtling through the back of the cab, so I just used to use treble the number of lashings everyone else did; every layer would have at least four across and the top one would be every hook - it looked like a fishing net, but I felt better about it.

You’ve probably given yourself some sort of PTSD from all the mayhem and carnage left before you over the years.
