Put brown on meat, and red on anything cooked.
No, you can’t toss my salad!

Was in glassow one day and tired ordering a bacon baguette, was like playing a game of charades.
Stottie = large flat round bread

Northeners tend to be quite rude, generally racist & quite full of [zb] tbh…!
Stay south & experience true Britain…!As one born on the south coast I’ve always found that the further north you go, the people are friendlier and everything in general is a lot cheaper. There is of course the language barrier, but sign language works very well, in fact there’s a lot of sign language on the roads in the south. As for red or brown sauce… no thanks to either.
Tiger.
It’s fine fella, we understand you in the end…you just need to spit the rounded vowels out quicker. And, realise that words such as ‘bath’, ‘laugh’ etc. do not have an ‘r’ in them anywhere!!!..
Why on earth would you put red or brown sauce on decent sausage or bacon? Save the money and just put the sauce in bread…or is that cob?!
Oh and a ‘roll’ is something you do when you corner too fast in the truck…

Nope read it is FLAT & much larger than a roll
I can do either red or brown, but they have to be Heinz or HP respectively, none of that Frank Cooper crap 99% of the time I go with HP though, it brings out the flavour better
On a breakfast it has to be brown sauce, but on sausage, egg and chips it’s red every time
I’m hungry now, sausage sarnie with lashings of HP has just been ordered, bless her little cotton socks
Sause spoils the taste of the bacon or sausage, all you taste is the sauce.

Bacon has to be in a stottie with more bacon
Bacon has to be in Baps
When down south, i have a bacon butty.
In brum i enjoy an egg banjo.
When i go up north, to fit in with the locals i just punch the wife. lol
Red sauce on sausage or bacon sandwich or roll not a barm or cob. Red on a fried breakfast. McDonald’s chips or kebab shop chips etc. from the chip shop just salt and vinegar. God knows what they to to the fish up north it never tastes as good as down south.
Gravy in chips what’s that about gravy is for roast dinners only.
Black puddings is nice though.
Mind you you should try the culinary waste land of Canada and the USA they only seem to be able to fry potatoes have an ad version to all vegetables and what they pass off as bacon is a disgrace.
And no English staples like a doner kebab or a decent curry.
Youre all soft.
In Bristol we have ours with broken glass and scrumpy. Man up the lot of you. Come to Brizzol and see how its done.

Any Brits still left in the south anymore?
Seems to all foreigners when I’m forced to venture down there…truly grim.
Also, brown sauce, only way to go.
Nah you need to have your bacon in an oven bottom oh and teacakes have currants in what the ■■■■ is a fruit teacake■■?

Bacon has to be in Baps
Can see this thread going in a whole new direction now.
And to clarify, sausage has to be square, in a roll, with brown sauce.
Bacon or haggis on top of the sausage is optional.
If there’s an egg involved then no sauce at all.
Ever.
Pepper only.
Depends what you call the south & what you class as North
As think a lot of people have different views on this
Bacon = brown
Sausage = red
Bacon, sausage & tinned tomatoes = pepper (lots!)
Anything else is heresy!!
