As a cockernee living northish my biggest problem with the locals is trying to explain that the liquor with me pie ‘n’ mash ain’t watered down mushiee peas.

Northeners tend to be quite rude, generally racist & quite full of [zb] tbh…!
Stay south & experience true Britain…!

Not racist at all & Newcastle has the biggest Chinese community outside London we also have a big Asian community in the west end a large Jewish community in Gateshead

i take a lightly poached egg and hollandaise sauce with my bacon muffin…which is nice![]()
Civilised indeed.
I prepare a ham joint glazed in thick cut marmalade to be used as cold cuts in the week. Add to this chirizo & beef sausage wrapped in thick cut back bacon with cracked black pepper. All this goes a treat with the small stuffed peppers in olive oil. English mustard if I must, top hole
From Birmingham, the smorgasbord of culture
quite agreeable
Pah! Red sauce is for kids.
Brown sauce on all bacon, sausage, eggs things. Brown sauce Mixed in while cooking stews and hotpots. Brown sauce or relish on burgers, chips and pizza dipping. Brown sauce on the mighty fish finger sandwich. Curry and chips or fishcake cobs must be covered with garlic mayo.
Just whilst on the subject of divides, where does a cob stop being a cob?
I live in worksop area, notts, where a cob is a cob. If I go near Sheffield, it becomes a bread caaake!

As one born on the south coast I’ve always found that the further north you go, the people are friendlier and everything in general is a lot cheaper. There is of course the language barrier, but sign language works very well, in fact there’s a lot of sign language on the roads in the south. As for red or brown sauce… no thanks to either.
Tiger.
