No more Dev in the morning on Radio 1

Classicfm for me

the only thing I want to do to Ferne is [zb] her brains out

My mind misinterpreted this bit.

She isn’t the best looker but I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating crisps.

Ian Watkin’s has been there, no thanks.

Slackbladder:
Dev was toilet waste. Every time I stumbled across him it sounded like his first time on radio. He looks exactly like he sounds, rancid little gimp.
Classic fm for me.

Dev never hide the fact that he was the ropiest dj on the radio ,will miss the early morning banter .

Gemma Cairny? Christ alive, it’s getting bad when the next radio talent is as bad as that. Haven’t listened to R1 since Moyles left bar the odd snippet of Dev or Greg. The rest are ■■■■■■■■■

3.30am I have LBC on (ever since becoming a lorry driver I seem to like a good moan about things ? :smiling_imp: ), then onto Absolute at 6 til 9,10-ish followed by a mixture of the first two and XFM throughout the rest of the day.

Come on everyone, move on. If you’re over 25, 23 even, you’re too old for Radio 1. Come join us grown ups at 6 Music or Radio 4. As my friend who doesn’t normally listen to radio during day said yesterday after a day listening to Radio 4 ‘Its amazing, I feel like I know everything worth knowing now’. Since my DAB broke I listen to 4 most days, my late brother was always trying to get me to listen more, I now know why he never struggled for conversation and had an answer for everything (annoyingly)! The Today Programme each morning, the afternoon play and the Archers are my favourites!

NewLad:
She’s got a dodgy nose, other than that she’s pretty FAF IMO

… that’s not an issue on the radio is it ?

Reminds me of a slightly surreal announcement by the late, great, John Dunn that his “guest tomorrow will be Marcel Marceau”   (ask your parents if necessary!)

Do you know I think I’m going to give radio 4 a try a lot of people tell me about it.
As much as I’m obsessed with sport listening to sports talk all day is getting a bit tedious and I’m fed up of radio 2 where if a dj is off they replace them with an annoying D list celeb.
So yes think il join the grown ups

Glad I’m not the only one that has shunned R1 since Moyles departure. At 33 I find the BBC have decided for me that I’m too old for R1 but feel R2 is too old for me still, talksport/radio Scotland and constant flicking between the different commercial stations.

I do not have time to listen to radio as purfleet to Stratford ilford does not warrant turning it on. But when I have I listen to housefm 103.0 boom boom boom big up da London massssssiiiivvvvee

Radio 4 and 5 live for me

Opps double post

Dev IS awesome , the only popular music radio show on radio 1 I’ll listen to , it’s not celebrity orientated which all the rest of are and what makes it excellent , who in there right mind admitted to playing call of duty in there pants on national radio … Only dev !!
Whilst we are talking dev is anyone on here Bernadette the trucker who calls calls in for the super bad girls feature ■■ , few things make me laugh out loud at the radio but I was in stitches on Friday !!

Otherwise it’s anything on planet rock , radio 4 when it takes my mood absolute radio ( 80’s or 90’s ) after 10.30 … Can stand Christian o Connol , distinct fm ( pirate station ) around Birmingham and Wolverhampton ,
And finally radio 1 Friday night Annie Mac , Pete tong , skreem and benga are awesome !!!

Radio 4 is good (in fact, it’s one of the best things about Britain) because - this is going to make me sound like a sad old man - it’s like having a friend in the cab. I listen at night, so I miss the Today programme nowadays, but that was always one of my favourites along with PM with Eddie Mair. There’s some great comedy on Radio 4 and plenty of intelligent (and reasonably impartial) news coverage and comment. The only thing I really don’t like is The Archers …

Team rock radio or planet rock on dab for me. No listened to radio 1 for 15 + years and I’m only 35.

Agreed.Radio one on Friday night with pre club warm up tunes.I turn the phone off and crank it to the max.Banging tunes.Forget the speed cameras.Pedal to the metal. It is Friday Pete Tong is a legend.

In my teens, I was a big R1 listener, but it got on my ■■■■ about the time Moyles left the early morning slot, and I turned to R2, and have listened to it ever since.

Got to say Evans was good yesterday with Caro Emerald , Kylie (Yes I would. ) Griff Rhys Jones and Trevor Nelson on.

Having been around music since God was a lad, and indeed I was a former nightclub DJ in my native North East, I can’t get into talk type radio, so I’m not sure if R4/Talk Sport et al would suit me.

Give me music based radio anytime, but not house/garage type music.

Don’t mind a bit of Dr.Mosh though.

Ken.

That also applies to Dev though.
