I believe the L series is simply the bonneted version of this the LB(Cabover) 76 and S signifies Turbo Engine

LB 76 means L for Lastbil=Lorry and B=Bulldog for the blunt front of the cabin

If you like take a look of www.vespen.se you will find a lot of old truck´s and some great pictures of M/E trucks from late 70 and 80
